How does the number of fatalities due to floods vary in time in Canada? The conduction of this process gave the following resultant figures for comparison of the number of fatalities caused by floods in cities all around Canada. The table and figure represent a numerical and graphical representation of the overall survey. Time IntervalsNo. of Fatalities1900-190931910-191901920-192951930-1939101940-1949171950-195911960-1969321970-1979141980-1989141990-1999112000-200972010-20130Graphical representation of fatalities over the year’s f 1900 to 2013 The trend as one can see from the overview of the bar graph a low peak of no fatalities in the years of 1910 to 1919 while it increases over the years with a high peak in the 1960s which saw the highest number of fatalities who were victims for the floods in Canada.
The trend exists due to the harsh and stormy weather conditions which led to the extreme floods that led to the fatalities. Other data sources that would prove ones confidence in the trend as gotten form the website is the statistic that signifies the involvement of the external entities in the rescue of flood victims. The emergency response and aid from government and organizations has proven to reduce the number of fatalities caused by floods over time as one can depict from the graph. The future trends we see negligible amount of fatalities since there is great development and setting up of structural administrations that work towards reducing the number of fatalities and reducing destruction of social amenities by storms and floods.
