The paper “Tesco - Key Performance Indicators” is a detailed example finance & accounting dissertation. The balanced scorecard has been observed to comprise internal, innovative, and learning, customer, and financial perspectives. The dissertation entails analyzing the annual reports of profit and non-profit making organizations to assess the impact of a balanced scorecard for the revenue of these agencies. After conducting an analysis of the four organizations, the next thing will entail analyzing the effectiveness of the balanced scorecard on these associations.

This will be in consideration of their roles, revenues, expenditures, and the number or size of employees that they have as well. Profit-making organizations usually endeavor to increase the value of their shareholders which is conducted by increasing revenues and further improving the level of productivity. The profit-making agencies that will be analyzed are TESCO and EDF Energy while the non-profit is National Health Service and Community Health Services. The research will first conduct a performance of these organizations in the period of 2007-2009 then compare and contrast the effectiveness of using a balanced scorecard.1.2 Tesco Analysis1.2.1 Objectives• TESCO plc focuses on creating value for their customers for them to obtain a long-time loyalty.

• They also aim at increasing revenues obtained in all their outlets.• They further aim at providing high-quality products and offering high-quality services as well.The analysis will entail an analysis of the company’s financial statements for 2007-2009 to make an observation of the income and sales at that period. In 2007, the sales in the United Kingdom market were 35,580 million pounds while in 2008, it rose to 37,949 million pounds. The international sales, on the other hand, were at 11,031 million pounds in 2007 and rose to 13,824 million pounds.
