EPL: How did the face of football chnage? According to Blythe, today EPL has a large number of international players playing for its different teams. The culture has infiltrated all football teams across the global and there is no team without an international player today. The trend has its benefits as a large amount of money comes to the team with such hiring. However, the team in turn also has to spend tremendously on such stars. According to Kassies today football is turning into a business with such a culture and whoever offers more gets the better star.
As per Nakrani, the local players also suffer as their chances of entering the team is lowered as an international player replaces the slot. The research is conducted on the management and employees of the EPL to understand the true benefits of such hiring and whether it is beneficial for the national team in the long run. The reasoning for introducing such a trend is studied and its future prospects are evaluated. The proposed research study aims to investigate the effectiveness and impact of hiring international players instead of hiring just local ones.
Since there is a changing trend to do so, the study aims to research the pros and cons of following the new trend. The qualitative methods of conducting the research have been used. Keeping the aims and objectives in perspective, interview methods of conducting the research has been used. This is because the research required in-depth analysis and understanding of the reasons for hiring international players in the teams. . With this in perspective, the following are the aims and objectives of the research: To identify the factors behind increasing trends of hiring international players in the sports teams To identify the core benefits and disadvantages of hiring international players in the sports team To highlight the difference in the fee and expenses of hiring international players as compared with the domestic players To examine the effectiveness of the decision of the management to hire international players in their teams. 1.4 Methodical approach and sources of the data of the study The qualitative methods of conducting the research have been used.
Keeping the aims and objectives in perspective, interview methods of conducting the research has been used. Thus the interview method was the most appropriate method of conducting the research.
