First Sur Go Tell It on the Mountain Baldwin opens by describing Gabriel’s prayer while his sister cries (59). From the brotherly point of view, we expect Gabriel to provide an immediate solution to his sister but instead he turns to the Lord. Perhaps, Gabriel exists in an extremely spiritual society where the Lord solves all problems. There is an irony that comes out of Gabriel’s prayer when he considers the cry of his sister as the cry of a sinner who is probably paying for his sins. Apparently, that puts in doubt all the Christian approach Gabriel believes in because he is judging her sister as a sinner even before knowing what her problem is exactly.
The Literary styles used in the passage do not bring clearly the picture of the situation. The excerpt, “This silence, continuing like a corridor, carried Gabriel back to the silence that had preceded his birth in Christ,” illustrates this postulation. First, the sentence is beginning of a paragraph yet it opens with the word “This” that may easily confuse the reader because the reader may not know exactly which silence the author is referring to. Secondly, the simile “Like” silences to a corridor, but the structure of the organization of the expression leaves a blank in knowing what is subject to comparison. In other words, the current silence is compared to another silence that happened during the birth of Christ. However, the author achieves personification as a style because he says “the silence carried Gabriel.” In summary, the passage contributes towards making religion a theme of the story.

The social cognition theory explains that learning in individuals happens through observing others. The observed behavior then changes the thinking of an individual and affects one’s personality. It also asserts that all this behavioral and cognitive changes also are affected by the environment one is in (Sigelman and Rider, 2011). Youth violence has been on the increase in the recent past and this can be attributed to the observation and the environment they are growing up in. The unplugged version of the song shows that even though the acoustic guitar is being used in the background but the music is not connected to any amplifier and a sound system. Moreover, there are comparatively fewer people present in the audiences to hear unplugged versions as the focus is on electrical instruments like guitar. The unplugged version showed that the singer’s arrangement of the song is more open and spared, and there are more flavors added to the music. The drum-kit is focused lightly, and the choruses added in the song bring tune and music. As far as the folk version of the song is concerned... Rockin Out...

...Insert The Case of Monogamy I agree with the videos that human beings are not a monogamous species. This is because in general we engage in more than one sexual relationship in our lifetime before finding someone to settle down with in marriage. Even for those who have settled down in marriage relationships, finding a different sexual partner remain common. For most people, these new sexual liaisons are rather informal and somehow secondary to the marriage or the serious relationship. If we all decide to abandon monogamy, infidelity in marriages and other informal sexual relationships would gain the legitimacy it has always been denied by strong social controls. Adultery which is currently undisputedly contentious would equally... The Case...
