This is a perception that has killed many dreams, as people are not confident of their efforts and ability to respond to certain tasks. As per my perception, a hero is a persistent and determined person. Actually, anyone in possession of the two attributes is fit to be called a hero in any societal setting. This is because heroes are always determined and persistent towards achieving their goals despite the challenges that they face.

A perfect example is the American president ‘Barrack Obama’ whose political strategy remains a great surprise to the people of America. The success of most politicians has always depended on various things including excellent communication skills, political background and influence from the ruling government. It has been proven that several successful political leaders have entirely relied on the support they have from the ruling government to cling to power. However, it is essential to appreciate that excellent communication skills play an important role in an individual’s political success. For instance, a political aspirant whose main intention is to create change within the society should be capable of influencing his supporters through good communication.

Over the past years, there have been numerous opposing views concerning president Barrack Obama’s political achievements. Many people believe that he is not a politician by nature, but rather a good public speaker. The paper will try and validate the hypothesis that United States’ president, Barrack Obama, used his communication skills to accomplish his political dream. This study is essential because it will provide rational answers to the opposing views hence people will have a viable platform to defend their opinions. Voters will also use this information to address the problem of a leadership vacuum in their countries by only supporting politicians who can efficiently present their problems to the government through excellent communication.

According to many people, President Obama is considered a man of the people because of his ability to effectively communicate. Many people believe in him because he is not only capable of directly talking to them, but can also speak for them (Kellner 126). Arguably, this communication ability can only be realized and created through academic and emotional integrity. Obama was honest with himself about the reality of what various people face in life. He also acknowledged that an individual could only be taught real lessons through their personal experiences. The president used his communication skills during his campaign to influence United States’ citizens, especially black Americans that they should learn through their personal experiences and vote him in, as he would be their representative. After every public speech, Obama made, almost all the audience would be convinced that he is the right man to lead the Americans.

While communicating to his people, he portrayed his emotional honesty by communicating the feeling of the Black Americans. He effectively managed to address what they had experienced and the feeling they had at that particular moment. Arguably, the capability of doing exactly that only happens when people say the truth about what they had experienced or what they are currently experiencing in their lives. Research has always indicated that some people might not possess the common leadership qualities and still manage to be effective and victorious in their political ambitions. This means that even without other leadership qualities, politicians can accomplish their political dreams through effective communication. Even though Obama lacked other leadership qualities, like basic administrative skills, he managed to challenge his rival McCain in the 2008 presidential elections through his effective communication skills.
