Paraphrase the Original Text and Integrated Response Affiliation: Globalization and Culture: Globalization and Local Culture The Levin Institute, NYNo datewww.globalization101.orgPage: No Page NumberLine 25-27“Second, food restaurants can influence the mores in societies where they operate. The French are proud of having a unique cuisine that reflects their culture, such as crepes and pastries. Because of their pride in their cuisine, some French people are concerned that the U.S. restaurant chains crowd out their own products with fast food.

”According to The Levin Institute, people’s patterns and approaches to dining are factors influenced by the operations of food restaurants within the society. Products such as crepes and pastries make French cuisine which the French use as symbols of their culture. Due to attachment to their cuisine culture, the French feel that U.S. restaurant chains saturate their menu with fast food items.I find food restaurants in the society to be appealing with reference to time management. Instead of cooking at home or having meals that take time to prepare, I have adapted a habit of dining at the nearby restaurants as this approach allows me the freedom to sample and order different menu items.

In my opinion, I think food restaurants in the society contribute to negative outcomes such as laziness, higher cost of living, unhealthy eating, and are only useful in short-term proper time management (less time to acquire and take a meal). However, the French should come to terms with the fact that every society has its own culture and fast food restaurants make part of the U.S. culture, regardless.
