This memorandum seeks to provide an overview of the material components that have been used to make up the pole vaults. Within this memorandum, a brief understanding of the pole vault, purpose, material components, and areas of operation shall be described. This description of the product is intended to bring to your attention the material properties and requirements that informed their selection by the engineer (Ackland, Elliott, & Bloomfield, 2009).

Pole vault equipment is a commonly used tool in long jumping over a bar, and the equipment comprises several engineering products such as the pole vault box collar. The box collar is largely used to offer impact protection to the vaulters in and around the vault box (Hickey, 2006). In this memo, the address for components is restricted to the box collar that has the following components. The recognizable components are:
