WR and Section # of Website Review This paper constitutes two website reviews about certain Non-profit organizations helping the society. This paper will emphasize on the fact that these NGOs formulate small community within the existing larger part of the society. Not only this culture helps shape up the major cultural shifts in the society as a whole but also participates in the formulation of a paradigm shift in the overall way of thinking of individuals and different communities in the same society.
UW Centre for Child Studies
The first website review is based on the website for centre for child studies, a sub-part of The University of Waterloo. The website for the Centre for Child Studies has been developed with a very simple frame of mind. No mind boggling graphics have been used, just simple enough to pass on all the necessary information for the person viewing it. All the methods of contacting them are there in black & white; and blue of Skype even, so to speak. Although, the text is very simple and easy, the content in intense for example the virtual tour included for the ease of the reader.
Coming to the crux of the matter, it develops research databases and reports for toddlers and their language development skills. It calls out for more parents helping in the research, making it a unique group for both the parents and the researchers. Not only this formulates a sub-culture among the whole American society but also helps future parents and doctors to look into patterns of child development. This eventually helps them ascertain facts about child development and the shift in it with the ever-so-changing time.
Zero To Three
This website can be found on www.zerotothree.org. As the name suggests this website also deals with formulating a culture of change for children up to the age of three from birth. The website presents a neat and persuasive view along with inducing clicks from people visiting the website. The graphic presentation has been kept simple and the view presents a professional, a must for the type of people they are trying to attract. Parents and researcher, both communities are serious onlookers for information as they want the best facts, so to equip themselves to raise their children right and publish about them, respectively. This website, at least on the looks of it, provides these very basic needs of both.
The website combines the best of opinion asks for more and processes that data for any information monger passing the world of the web looking for answers. It calls for people sharing their experience of parenting, coupled along with the expert opinions, makes up a nice combination. This is not the only feature being boasted by the organization through the website, they also have certain other features. The best feature being the military family projects. Military family form a huge community within the American culture and with two wars going on, a large number of fathers are away from homes. This project hence can serve as a life line as the soldiers are not home for long stretch of times, missing the first words and walks often.

Conclusion
The information on the internet can sometimes be both useful and useless. Deep knowledge and research is needed, especially when dealing with such a sensitive issue like child development in the early stages. Parents taking care of young toddlers constitute a major part of the American culture; one you see every day in the morning outside schools and in the evenings in the parks. Such websites and organizations, itself are responsible for a major cultural shift in both the smaller community of parents and the large American society as a whole.

Infrastructure Application and Review: France

Referring specifically to the country’s water network, Jacobson et al. (1995) notice that ‘although waterworks facilities in France are predominantly government-owned, private firms operate and manage most systems under an array of contracting and leasing arrangements’ (Jacobson et al., 1995, online article). The above study describes the general terms under which the development of infrastructure systems in France is progressing. It should be noticed at this point that in France, the government’s policies regarding the development of infrastructure systems were not always effective – moreover, they were rather limited. Indeed, in a report published by the OECD in 2005, it is noticed that ‘in 19...

Critical Review of Goth: Identity, Style and Subculture by Paul Hodkinson

The allure from this standpoint is seen by the author. This report measures mainly the methodology that Hodkinson uses, which is grounded theory research, and the report also examines questions of fixed vs. flexible research. The findings of the research are briefly presented before the current research investigation concludes.

The Goth subculture is founded on principles of viewing some of what society outside this subculture, or mainstream culture, views as abhorrent or negative. There is some fetish tendency in this subculture towards the macabre and death, with face-paint style makeup and mourning clothing being prominent features of belongingness, which are certainly not reflective of mainstream fashion and makeup....

Critical Review of General Electric

... mission and vision of the company. Beyond this, it also needs to review how its strategy formulation and strategy implementation had gotten separated in the last few years (Grant 2005, p. 187). Even with todays remaining six divisions (infrastructure, industrials, commercial finance, GE Money, health care and NBC-Universal), it still needs to trim down. In other words, G.E. needs to reformulate its strategy and decide once and for all that it is no longer viable to be a conglomerate. The days of empire are over and it is best to start selecting the core areas in which it can compete effectively by disposing of non-core assets and businesses. It is only now that G.E. has finally tried to go past the shadow of Jack Welch whose influence...

How Do Customers Assess Service Quality of Retailing Websites

Given the emergent nature of online commerce, it is a tough task for retailers to develop a website that meets all expectations from consumers. This view is supported by a survey conducted by the UK’s largest e-consultancy Cap Gemini. The survey identified several key disadvantages for online shoppers. Some of these include “’ Availability’, ‘Can’t be in to receive delivery’, ‘Premium charged for delivery’, ‘Can’t see or feel the merchandise’, etc.” (Quader & Quader, 2008) These are not trivial complaints by any means and despite the e-retailing industry setting foot into its third decade in existence, there are no satisfactory solutions found for th...

Comparative Review of Welfare System

In order to compare the welfare system of the three proposed countries, it is important to first develop a comparative method that would guide in comparing the three states. For the purpose of this paper, a binary comparison would be conducted. The implicit comparison would deal with Britain while the explicit comparison would explore the USA and Canada. Thereby a small N’ study would be used, that is, of three countries.
The three countries selected to share a similarity in the form that these countries are a welfare state. This is when welfare is mainly funded by the state. While the USA and Canada focus on the liberal welfare state, the welfare state of the UK is not quite defined.
The comparison of the welfare...

Physical Evidence John F. Kennedy Assassination Case Review

.... The truth about the shooting may never be clear, but the evidence about the shooting can be gathered through looking at the various reports that have been released to the public. What cannot be assessed is if any of the evidence has been tampered with and if the assassination of an American President was the plot of one man or if it was the plot of many who used the perpetrator, himself assassinated before trial, as a pawn in a larger game. The following review will attempt to make a case for Lee Harvey Oswald who was accused, but never tried for the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. The evidence will be in the form of eye witness accounts, forensic evidence, medical examiner evidence, and the Commission findings of two...

The Review of the Book

... Chapter Responses The first chapter in the book maintains that contrary to what many people think, hip-hop has been in existence for over 30 years. In addition, since it was begun by black Americans, hip-hop has led to the infusion of slang into the American vernacular language. Mostly, hip-hop incorporates several elements that include rap music, which is the main component, graffiti that comes along with hip-hop, and breaking which is the dance popular with hip-hop artists. The break-dancers, as people know them, do not call themselves that especially in the groups affiliated with hip-hop music. Instead, they call themselves b-boys or b-girls. These terms have therefore been included in the American vernacular as a result... Chapter...
