Manager: Asma Alghafis. Date prepared: Starting date: Date of publication: End date: Test location: http://asmaalghafis.wix.com/asma#!untitled/c199t Original location: http://asmaalghafis.wix.com/asma#!untitled/c199t Language: English 2.0 Introduction This project is an opportunity to design a website that will create my own online professional identity and prepare me for the future in marketing career. It highlights the significance of the Smart phone application in developing market strategy. According to Audely (2011) a number of apps are being released on a daily basis with the sole aim of acquiring more business. According to Owen (2010) they provide a better after sales services and access to required information, save time and ensure customer loyalty and satisfaction. The website illustrates this through a new creative application technology called Radio Frequency Identification (RFID). 2.0 Project rationale This project has been driven by a number of different reasons; each of which has provided a strong contribution to realising and completing an excellent and professionally competent website. These include: a) Knowledge, skills and insight gained during my study as a Business Information Technology student. b) The availability of online tutorials which have provided teaching on website technologies. c) Web development experience gained through the undertaking of a project with a Manchester company. d) The need for an individual or organisational online presence. My SEO skills have enabled a website to be made which can appear in the top results search list in Google or any other search engine (Chang, 2009). e) The fact that the cost of starting and running such a project has not been expensive. 3.0 Project analysis The project had certain established aims and objectives which have sought to execute and realise for its own value. 3.1 Aim The project has aimed to generate a complete and professional website which could demonstrate the role of smart phone apps in strategic marketing. 3.2 Objectives The objectives of the project include: a) Attracting business by building up the reputation of the website. b) Promoting the website through text messaging, social networking and blogs. c) Controlling, monitoring and updating website based visitor’s feedback. d) Improving the layout, contents and related aspects of the website. e) Ensuring minimal cost and efficient utilisation of resources. f) Developing, releasing and hosting its own and third party apps. g) Ensuring availability of the hottest apps on the market. h) Facilitating simultaneous downloads of the same app. i) Ensuring that apps were available for different mobile operating systems. 3.3 Content The content of the website will comprise content about the significance of smart phone apps and marketing and hosting of apps. It will elaborate on how Smart phones are considered to be great tools that can promote sales, help save lives, locate shopping stores and for individuals to be able to purchase online. The content focuses on the use of smart phone technology called radio frequency identification (RFID) to locate a product amid a voluminous array of inventories. 3.4 Industry analysis There are a series of websites with smart phone app content. This particular website will have the leverage to develop and program smart phone apps and provide information on how to buy apps from websites that are currently selling apps. However, there are a limited number of websites that currently focus on my idea. The idea of the project is to elaborate and highlight some of the existing smart phone apps that can benefit individuals or organisations in terms of their marketing strategy. 3.5 Industrial skills As a Business Information Technology at Salford University, I seek to develop and maintain a professional online reputation; which has been developed around the lessons which I have learned through my own practical experience, research and ambition. 4. Planning 4.1 The Gantt chart The project schedule has been planned using Gantt chart techniques as shown below: 4.2 Work flow structure 4.3 Risk analysis The tabulation for likelihood and impact has been represented as High = 3, Medium = 2 and Low = 1. The website will use WIX technology to integrate with social media websites through which users will be able to comment. 4.5 Long term plan The project intends to establish a website which will present a qualified and competent professional identity on the internet and will be able to generate greater revenues. The revenues will be generated by the commission from sold apps, those which are released and the hosting of personal apps and adverts. 5 Practical analysis 5.1 Communication The main language of communication for the website is English. However, in the future the project will introduce new languages based on the inflow of web traffic from different regions.
