My Imagination about Billionaires For this assignment, I have chosen the section ‘young adult literature’. This paper consists of a story, which has been written according to the requirements of the assignment and by considering the key elements of story writing (Wayne). A perception of a Billionaire All rich people of the world have been my source of imagination. I had a view of such people to be totally different creature from humans and other mortals living on the planet. My imaginations made me think that these creatures could not live on the same elements on which the entire humanity lives such as food and other basic items. It was my perception, they are some extraordinary creatures that are able to spend an extraordinary life so that they could not be like other human beings. It was my imagination about billionaires before I met one of them. As per my imagination, a billionaire was very extraordinary creature. As I believed that these creatures were very huge, and they had at least four stomachs or two hundred teeth. They would eat plenty of food like hundreds of roasted lambs and they would drink thousands of world’s best wine bottles. And they would eat hundred pounds of food in a single bite. I used to think that the eating routine of these people would start from early morning and continue till late night. And when they would feel tired of eating and chewing then they would ask their servants to chew food for them that they could swallow throughout the entire day. These rich people must be tired by night due to their whole day hard working routine; they would be put in their beds made of gold by their servants so that they could start their same routine from the next morning after having rest. Their beds would spread over thousands for yards. They would eat in the utensils made of gold encrusted with pearls and diamonds with the spoon that could hold pounds of food at a time. Their houses would be spread on an area that could cover two or more cities. In those palaces, there would be the whole army of their servants serving billionaires. There would be exotic birds sitting on the trees made of gold and precious stones in their widespread gardens. I used to think that it must be so difficult for such people to spend their wealth on themselves. The pocket… yes… I used to picture the pocket of a billionaire as large as the Empire State building with huge space in it. The life would be very harsh for them. I believe that wealth and assets have no value that until a person cannot consume more food than a common human being. My imagination made me think that these people wear clothes made of gold that would embed diamonds and other expensive gems of the world. They would wear pure luscious silk underneath interweaved with gold and silver thread and layer over layer of high brands clothing and accessories. Their teeth would be made of gold and carved with diamonds. Their lifestyle would be extraordinary and they would spend their holidays in remote locations It seems awkward if one thinks about someone doing all this and wearing clothes in such manner but I believed that if people were so rich then there would be nothing that could stop them from living their lives the way they wanted. My assumptions made me believe that the body of such people would be gigantic, and they would possess some superstitious power like… they could elongate their body parts such as fingers and feet to collect money from different countries of the world even without going to those. I could not figure out how the shape of this rich creature’s creature would look like. They would have eight eyes on their faces so that they could keep their focus all around their wealth and squeeze money from everywhere. One day... when I was in a fund raising campaign, I had a chance to meet some of the richest men of the country. Finally… I was standing next to those people, and I was unable to share my amazement. I found that these billionaires were also normal human beings like me. I found no difference between them and other humans. There, I saw an old man, whose shoulders were lowered. He was sitting on an armchair and his physical gestures and way of speaking were giving me the impression that he was also one of the billionaires of the country. I could see his face was shaved properly, and his skin was flawless under his wrinkles. His under lip was hanging loosely along with his flabby skin, and his two teeth were made of gold. With his deep brown eyes, he was gazing at the arrangements in the main hall. He was talking in a gentle manner. He was dressed up in a very baroque oriented style. Hence, I would say that… nothing was there that could differentiate him from other human beings. And… the hall where all these rich people were gathered had nothing special or luxurious about it. At the moment, I was unable to resist myself from having a conversation with him as he was sitting next to him. Me (Richard): are you the one who is running the oil business? Him (Mr. Anthony Salvatore): yes... Me: it means... you are a billionaire? (As I cannot trust my eyes) Him: indeed… Me: how many pounds of food you usually eat in the breakfast? Him: pounds…? Are you joking..? I eat half egg, an apple and a cup of low-fat coffee. Mr. Anthony Salvatore was looking at me innocently and in a bit shocked manner. Me: okay… that’s surprising… Well… I want you to be honest with me with all your words. Tell me how often do you eat in a day? Him: I eat thrice in a day and I usually take brunch in the noon... and I always end up my food with fresh fruits after that a mug of black coffee and... A cigar... It increased my amazement, and I suddenly started asking him a question again Me: so where does all of your money go? And what do you do with that money? Him: well… gentleman! I make more money with that money. Me: more money? But… for what if you don’t eat as much? Mr. Anthony Salvatore shifted his eyes with arrogance and controlled himself from shouting. Him: are you cracked? You are probably the first person of your kind I came in contact with. Me: but… be honest! Tell me what do you do with all your money? Him: I make more money with that. Me: how? Him: I buy the resourceful lands where the hired labor produces oil, and I sell it to the international market. I use to calculate the that what least amount of money to be paid to the labor so that they keep their continue working and… the rest of the money I keep to myself in the form of other necessary charges… that is so easy to do. Me: hmm… so your labor is satisfied with what they get? Him: no… I don’t think that… it is the fact that human craving increases along with all his achievement. Human is the weirdest character that need more and more and his cravings never get completely fulfilled. Me: (startled) In that case, I believe that I have been living a reality where I considered people like you to be aliens with riches.
