Business Intelligence & Analytics (BIA) contribution to organizational performance in Samsung Business intelligence and analytics can contribute immensely to the performance of any organization. The business intelligence is capable of assisting organisations such as a Samsung to develop its competitive edge. This can happen through the development of real instruments that are capable of acting upon the existence of any valuable information that might improve the performance of the organization. The available information that the real instruments can detect is the type of information that is capable of causing any alterations within the performance process of the company. This can occur intelligently within the market that might cost the business or the organisations its performance (Rausch, 2013, p.3). The business intelligence, in this case, can influence Samsung to be able to change its pattern of production. For instance, the company is capable of reducing the waste and also overstocking of its product that is a common problem. The use of business intelligence gives various opportunities for Samsung Company to be able to improve its marketing intelligence that is very crucial for its performance. The application of the business intelligence can allow Samsung to be able to streamline its information system (Brust, 2013, p.2). The employment of the BI within Samsung Company will make the human resources of the company including the management and employees be able to improve their performance efficiently. The business intelligence can be used to ensure that there is an effective analysis of the information and also to ensure there is proper management of the projects within the company. This in turn improves the performance of the company through improving the revenues and also increasing operations at all other levels that are involved within Samsung. By Samsung applying the business intelligence it will be able to notice various hidden processes or rather missed chances in its operations that were not noticeable before. This allows Samsung to improve its efficiency of its operations (Brust, 2013, p.2). Some of the missed chances might be crucial for the performance of the Samsung. By identifying the hidden and missed processes, Samsung will be in a good position to ensure that resources are being allocated to highly beneficial process thus raising the bottom line of the company. The use of BI by Samsung will also improve its performance through its integration into the differentiation process of the products that it offers from the competitors through aspects such as added value in terms of web values. This will allow the company to subdivide its markets and also gain a competitive edge over its competitions (Brust, 2013, p.2). 2. Benefits of the dashboard Dashboards have various benefits that they can bring to any organisations. The dashboard, when used by Samsung Company, can be able to ensure that there is the maintenance of data warehouse and data materials which has been a threat to the company. The dashboard that is developed can be able to ensure that handling of suppliers’ information centrally driven within the company. This can be done in two ways. One way is to generate the reports based on the demands of the product suppliers and secondly it involves a scenario in which the production employees trigger the transaction. This in the long run benefits the organisations by ensuring that there is proper management of the suppliers’ information (Haudhuri, 2011, p.89). The dashboard will allow Samsung to be able to improve the efficiency of any new decisions that it has undertaken which is a major opportunity. This is achievable since the dashboard can achieve this goal by supporting any newly decision through a better information system that is timely and also more accurate. Hence, ensuring that informed decision are being made by the company. Another opportunity is that the dashboard can ensure that Samsung is capable of measuring its production parameters. It has been difficult for Samsung to measure its production parameters of real performance or rather an efficiency. But through the use of the dashboard Samsung can measure most of its parameters even in situations where the process might seem good but on the inside they are worse performers. This is a benefit that is achieved since the dashboard can do a deep analysis of Samsung’s activities. The dashboard application also benefits Samsung by reducing the delays and the backlogs that threaten its production. Thus through this production process of the company can be managed in an efficient manner through reallocation of backlog work to the other employees hence reducing any form of production delays (Lock, 2014, p.2). 3. Proposed internal and external data to be included The internal data to be used is the production data that will be obtained from the company. Hence, shedding more light on the reasons as to some of the challenges exists and also why there has been no exploitation of the available opportunities. The external data that will be used will be obtained from the survey that has been conducted by the company based on the customer’s views on the performance of the products. This will be looked at while also comparing it with the internal data to assess any consistency in certain production traits and also for the purposes of filling any gap that exists within the internal data. 4.
