Home Based Work and Online Home Based Work. Name University Home Based Work and Online Home Based work 1.0 Introduction Office work has recently changed in the nature, how the labor is composed and most important , the structure of the global economic markets, the elimination of the restrictions on the home-based work or employment have all together led to the tremendous interest in working from home. Home-based jobs are those jobs that are actually accomplished at home. Workers do not need to travel to work places but essentially just need to schedule time for the workloads that are conferred upon them by their virtual employers. Online home based jobs are those jobs that are essentially accomplished by using the internet. Workers must be connected to a working internet connection in order to complete the work load. This particular type of home based job, is gaining popularity as every goes by because it is well paying type of employment. Data entry, email reading and sending, taking online surveys are some of the online home based jobs we have today in the global market. 2.0 Background and research problem Home based jobs or work first emerged in the year 1978. The aim of this invention was to enterprise the women who were at their homes in the USA. In America, between the periods of 1989 to 1985, the number of home based workers rose from 1.5 million to 1.8 million persons. That aspect shows that a great interest in the home based jobs and at the time, the futurists in high technology companies predicted that a massive migration from office to home based work would occur. All this has been enabled by the invention of the internet. To date, home based work and online home based work is something to be admired by many enterprising young men and women in our modern society setting. As long as a person can meet the deadlines and produce high quality paper or assignment, then he or she is ready to earn some good pay. So in this particular paper, we are discussing the particulars that have led to the increased interest in the home based work and online home based jobs and how we can improve this in our 21st century setting. 3.0 Research question and objectives 3.0.1 Research question: Is the home based work and online home based work accessible to persons throughout the world? 3.0.2 Objectives (a) How much can a home based job earn a person? (b) Is there an age limit on persons seeking home based work? 4.0 Research design (type of study) There exist several factors that have led to the increased interest in the home based jobs or work. At least three factors have majored the list of the factors. They are; (a) The ever changing natures of the office work. This is mainly due to the centralized information processing in many offices around the globe. The price of the hardware’s required like the computers has greatly reduced. (b) Composition of the labor force. The labor force has been established to compose of women, young youths in the colleges and the universities. (c) Expanded economic markets. The internet has opened up boundaries and most of the jobs accomplished at home can be accessed over the sites on the internet. A person needs and enabled internet connection to access the jobs. A recent qualitative research study was carried out in china in the Ctrip International Corporation. This particular study carried out at the Ctrip International Corporation, a leading travel agency with its operations in Hong Kong and Taiwan. This particular firm operates a call center in Nan Tong and employs ac call staff of excess of 5000 persons. The call representatives are normally or organized in groups of 10 to 15 persons and they are normally tasked with entering the clients’ information into companies’ centralized information system. The workers work from home through the internet by utilizing the required hardware. They earn some good pay which comprises of two elements, the flat wage and the bonus which depends on the worker performance. The flat wage was Chinese yuan1300. The working conditions were favorable since there were shifts and off. 5.0 Data collection and analysis The Ctrip International Corporation has an extremely organized central data collection system since its working force comprises of former Oracle company workers who have extensive knowledge in software. Most of the data used in this paper was obtained directly from the firm`s central database hence it contains high accuracy. Data collected contained elements such as; performance of labor supply, promotions, employee satisfaction and demographic information. Finally a survey was conducted on 957 employees of Ctrip International Corporation regarding the costs and the benefits of working from home. Majority of the respondents opted to work from home due to the benefits such as the dynamic working hours and the saving of the transport costs that are normally incurred when a staff travels to the work station some kilometers away on daily basis and also exhaustion of the staff. 6.0 Findings and Conclusion This particular study of the Ctrip International Corporation resulted into some findings which were very helpful. Out of the 957 interviewed employees of the Ctrip Corporation, 673 interviewers opted to work from home because of the underlying benefits or advantages such as very dynamic working hours, saving of the transport costs and less disturbances being incurred at home. The workers who work from home enjoy a good pay salary income and at times they are paid at the end of the week, after every two weeks especially for the online home based jobs such as those offered by freelance websites such as the essaywriters.net, asiawriters.net or even the Allwriting.net. We can conclude that the trend to work from as predicted the late 1990s futurists, is ever growing as every day goes buy due to its numerous advantages. Many enthusiastic young women and men of our today modern setting are willing to work from home rather than office. Therefore technological advancements must be furthered so as to realize the dream of working from home rather than office and still accomplish the same duty at the right time with no borders.
