3. Difference in advertisement in local newspaper and international trade publication
International advertisements would require a little longer timelines due to the long distances and interested firms would be required to include documents/license for international business document.
Task 11: How cultural differences affect international business:
While negotiating a deal, people from different cultures may take it in different ways. While other deal makers prefer signing a deal, others consider establishing a relationship as of greater importance. If parties got to know and understand each other, they are likely to achieve a good business relationship. This does not apply to other culture though (Salacause, 2005).
Different cultures consider time differently. While others are strict with time and would not tolerate lateness, other cultures allow for flexibility. Will the business deal be jeopardized by lateness or is one allowed to serve personal matters first. This may be a source for conflict (Internations, 2013).
Another cultural difference that affect international business include whether negotiations will be formal or informal. Some cultures respect rank and title while others don’t pay so much attention. This may be interpreted as lack of respect in some cultures (Salacause, 2005).
