It is noteworthy that current reality of an organisation and desired destination can be identified by the implementation of good strategy. It is to be noted that for the success of the organisation leaders in the contemporary era needs to be more flexible so that strategies can be applied effectively for the growth of an organisation. For the success of the organisation, leaders not only acts as a planner of the strategy and set the best option in the market place but also implements strategic directions. Leadership is essential for the success of the business and good strategy of an organisation. Leaders for the success of the organisation play various roles of a designer, decision maker, interpreter and also organiser through the help of leadership strategies (Bleak & Fulmer, 2009). Contextually, every organisation must have its own leaders and culture. Strategic leadership is a continuous process for the enhancement of the organisation and development of proper strategic formulation. Strategic planning and strategic leadership both are important for the organisational growth. In this regard, it can be stated that the meaning of strategic leadership for a non-profit organisation is to build the power and develop channel of leaders who have the capability to work effectively. Capabilities, abilities and knowledge of a leader can be recognised by the strategic leadership development process (Milwaukee, 2014). The paper intends to evaluate about the organisational leadership strategies, its application in developing countries along with its benefits and challenges. Idea of Organisational Leadership Strategies Organisational leadership strategy is a procedure implemented for the development of the organisation. This tool is essential for the leaders of an organisation for the future growth and for the enhancement of the skills as well as behaviour. To achieve the objectives and increase the success of the business, leadership strategy plays an important role. Strategic leader is the one who plays the role of a planner and decision maker. A successful strategy for an organisation depends on various aspects. For the successful implementation, leaders need to support the structure of the organisation with effective strategy along with strong employee engagement. In strategic management, strategic leader is the one who creates and maintains the system to achieve the organisational goals. Strategic leaders play a vital role to shape the interpretation and perception of the members of an organisation about the environment, the vision and goals of the organisation. Moreover, the decision and action taken by the organisation to achieve the objectives and the capability of the organisation are also important aspects of the leaders (Shamir & Hooijberg, 2008). The responsibility of the leaders is to manage the organisation strategically it means that the leader should make the strategic plan for the development of the organisation. It is Important to state that successful leader of an organisation needs to play the role of a producer, advisor and decision maker for the success of the organisation. The senior leaders have to complete and develop the implementation tool for the strategic plan. Organisational leadership team also develops the objectives and strategies to achieve the strategic goals and also have to develop the ideas to achieve the organisational goals for profitability. Organisational leadership strategy is a process, which implements the organisational change and builds the organisational structure. Senior leader must take unique strategy to achieve the organisational goals (Wells, 2000; Dinwoodie & et. al., n.d.). Application of Organisational Leadership Strategies in Developing Economics China China today is considered to be the fastest growing economy with high political power. It is to be noted that effective strategic management is important for the development of a nation and its economy at large. In the present day context, it is important to state that China is taking higher responsibility to become a leading stakeholder in the global platform for economic stability and security development. In this regard, the US encourages China in becoming a responsible stakeholder. However, the issue regarding the future of strategic plans is the uncertainty as the leaders of China are effective and have their own planning procedures. The leaders of China do not provide grand strategy to achieve the strategic goals. This creates uncertainty in strategic planning because Chinese leaders have their own goals and strategies. However, it is still possible to create generalisation in the grand strategy based on the strategic tradition. The desire of the overall strategy of China is to maintain specific rule regarding the Chinese communist party. Strategic planner of China evaluates and compares its standing to other nation with the uses of CNP scores which include both qualitative as well as quantitative measures. The leader of China has considered the national development strategy as a mission of increasing the China’s CNP. China has a strong belief that by importing foreign energy the strategy and policy of China can be affected in major way (Department of Defense, 2000). Broadband network is a structure of the community plan which is important for the development of China in recent years. In this context, it is evident that the growth rate of China is a greater as compared to other economy. China emphasises the heavy industry for its development and economic sustainability. China has implemented various strategies for its effectiveness and to improve the economy. The government has changed its development strategies toward labour sector initially in agriculture and then rural industries. China has a comparative advantage in the labour sector. The capital and labour resources is a result of greater economic efficiency. The leaders of China do not take a vital role in achieving the organisational goals but government has taken some steps for the development strategy. China needs to strengthen the planning process and improve teamwork and good management for solving the major problems along with developing strategy. Contextually, the leaders of China also have the power to make strong decision which is important for the development strategy and also for organisational change (Xiaohui, 2013; Headey & et. al., 2008). Brazil Brazil is one of the leading countries on the basis of its population and has upper middle income.’ Today Brazil has a strong position in the global environment and power. Brazil is considered as a rich country due to its natural wealth. This country is the largest producer of beef, coffee, juice and chicken among others. Today Brazil is considered to be one of the largest economies in the Latin America. Strategies implemented leads to organisational change it means selecting new idea and improving the old idea for organisational change and to achieve the objectives. Leadership plays a crucial role in guiding various strategies which affect the decision making within the organisation. The role of a leader is important to take all responsibilities within the organisation such as to create new strategies and make decision among others (Jakobsson & Akesson, 2014). The profile of Brazil has successfully raised and increased the flexibility because of grand strategy. Due to grand strategy Brazil gets benefit from the ‘public goods’, which is provided by the United States and also its Western partners. The global economic and financial flows are the reason for Brazilian development and due to this enhancement has opened its own economy. Due to its size and economic capacity Brazil will develop strong attraction on global and regional politics in the coming years. Brazilian grand strategy helps to understand about strategy, which is important for Brazilian and also for the United States (Brands, 2010). Brazil is one of the largest countries on the basis of landmass, population and also economy in the world. As a global power Brazil must understand its new role and should apply new strategies and new influences for the development of Brazilian and also its neighbours. The leadership team of organisation should make new strategies and new idea for the organisational change and achieve the objectives of the same. Leaders play important role within an organisation to develop the strategies. The industry of Brazil is working in a partnership with local government agencies so that they can deliver the innovative ideas or solutions. The outstanding growth and development with the help of domestic as well as and also international factors affect the Brazil’s economic path. The economic factors of Brazil helps to describe the how Brazil maintains its global role (Bodman & et. al., 2011). Benefits and Challenges of Applying Organisational Leadership Strategies in Developing Economies China There are number of benefits and challenges faced by China due to organisational leadership strategies. The leadership team of China does not take vital role or new strategies for organisational change. The leaders of China have their own responsibility and strategy for the development. Strategy is important tool for each and every organisation. Due to organisational leadership strategy China has built up its innovation capability to achieve the organisational goals. CNP has increased with the help of leadership team by using the development strategy. Through the development strategy China also needs to achieve the goal and gain competitive advantage. This strategy helps the government to find out the new possible steps to achieve the organisational goals. By influencing the organisation’s outcomes competitive advantage can be achieved. The political leaders and public leaders help in developing economic growth and also provide acquired resources for their business purpose (Lv & et. al., 2012). Strategic leadership plays an important role to make new strategies within the organisation but in China there is an uncertainty whether that leader will be useful in future or not. By applying this strategy China has increased their sustainable growth, skills and applies new technologies for the organisational change. When the leaders understand the importance of change and apply new strategies then the leaders has to face some challenges also. As a developing economics China has to increase the economic growth. China has also increased its technological advantage. Board band network strategy is important for the development of China. China faces challenges in development of economic growth as well (Tan & et. al., n.d.). Brazil There are several benefits and challenges for applying organisational leadership strategies. This strategy is important to shape the future of the organisation. Brazil is referred to as a global power. The benefits of strategic leader or organisational leadership strategies is that it helps to meet the objectives, helps in restructuring the organisation and in economic growth. Due to the help of effective strategy and planning Brazil can produce more coffee, beef and chicken and can be considered as the largest producer. Brazil has a belief in its leadership team and therefore has partnered with local government agencies for the innovative solution or idea for development. Another challenge is the sustainable and competitive growth in new global. Brazil’s has to understand the model of China, which is an issue for Brazil. To attain competitive advantage Brazil has to focus on development of education and innovation, which is more important in recent years (Deloitte, 2012). As a strategic leader the leadership team has to play innovative role and take idea for future management. Brazil has faced various challenges from the competitors. Grand strategy implemented helps to raise the profile of Brazil, which is another benefit of Brazil. As a global power Brazil has to understand its responsibility towards the world (Sennes, n.d.). Conclusion From the above discussion, it can be stated that strategic leadership is important for each and every organisation to bring positive change. Strategic leader play different roles within the organisation. Leaders have to play a role as a communicator, as a counsellor and also as a decision maker among others. Leaders help the organisation to meet its objectives and reshape the organisation for future management. It can also conclude that the developing economies such as China and Brazil are applying this strategy for the change. Finally, it can conclude that strategic leaders can implement change and create new organisational structure to achieve the organisational goals and hence leadership team is essential for the success of business and strategic goal.
