Business Analysis Palomar Hotel in San Francisco Part A Palomar hotel offers different event planning services like business meeting rooms. Meeting room of the hotel has huge area of 3000 square feet. Services in the business meeting room are thoughtful and attentive. The meeting room has state of the art audio visual facilities. The meeting room also has wireless internet access. The meeting room has work station and printer. Apart from the formal business meetings the hotel offers array of different other events.

It offers service of different social events like cocktail reception, weeding, engagement parties, parties of the different companies, celebrations of birthday, parties of holiday and fund raising parties. Capacity of the social event hall is also significantly high (PALOMAR, 2014). 55 five guests can seat together in the hall. 100 guests can be accommodated for the reception. All these items help the guests to get different kinds of services under one roof. Different organizations can arrange their office meetings and at the same time they can arrange the party in the hotel.

In this way different services can meet various needs of the guests. Part B Event planning services of the hotel can be analyzed on the basis of different factors. Intangibility is a characteristic of service. Event planning services of the hotel like business conference hall and weeding services are supremely intangible in nature. Tangibility of the services is clearly evident in the sitting arrangement of the hotel. Guests in the hotel are provided with comfortable sitting facilities. Incase of advance booking of the business conference room, services of the hotel are separable as bookings are done in advance and services are consumed afterwards.

Inseparability is also an important part of the services. In case of cocktail reception or birthday celebration services are consumed simultaneously. Services are perishable because it cannot be stored for the future. Once different event services are offered by the hotel authorities quality of services are placed permanently in the minds of the guests (Bing & Vlahides, 2010, pp. 123-124). So services of the hotel are not at all perishable. Heterogeneity of services is concerned with service consistency.

As the hotel has sufficient workforce and the staffs of the hotel are skilled enough to provide different event services. So heterogeneity of services is less. It is good for the hotel. Demand and supply have obvious impacts on the service quality of the client. In the time of weeding season generally demands are high for the event hall. Less supply of staffs can be a serious problem for the client. Level of services can fall due to inadequate supply of staffs in the busy season. The hotel has 100 people reception capacity.

It means demand of more than 100 people arrangement can cause a serious problem for the client. Part C In the business conference room, the modern audio visual system is highly delicate in nature. It requires special attentions as there is a high scope of technical snags. The area of the business conference room is 3000 sq feet (Tevis, 2009, pp. 115-117). It is significantly huge. Huge area of the room can make it very difficult for the staffs of the hotel to keep it clean regularly. As the sitting arrangement in the reception is large so hotel staffs may face difficulties to address their varying needs.

Engagement parties and weeding receptions are generally very emotional social events. It is very difficult for the staffs of the hotel to read the different emotional feelings of the guests.
