Should Use Technology in Their Own Study With the increased technological development, many sectors have tried to keep up with the pace of changes by incorporating the relevant up to date technology in their operations. However, despite the obvious impacts of technology on many processes that benefit human beings, the technological incorporation in the various areas have not been fully accepted in the society. Educational sector is one of the important areas transformed by technology despite the varied opinions held by stakeholders in this area.

However, it is important to note that the benefits of incorporating technology in the education sectors outweigh the perceived disadvantages and therefore it is important for students to use technology in their own studies. To start with, technology helps students to learn faster and thereby saving time. This is true because technology provides a platform on which both teachers and students can interact easily and faster. According to Southwest Educational Development Laboratory (SEDL), computers provide a broad platform on which students can utilize depending on their understanding (1).

Through computer-based programs, learners are able to maneuver through various obstacles of learning easily and faster. For example, it is a common scenario to find that a learner does not understand a particular concept taught in class because of failing to get an explanation given by a lecturer. Further, some students find it difficult to keep asking similar questions for clarification from a tutor. This is not the case with computer based-programs used to educate students because through the programs, students can be able to repeat a concept back and forth easily and faster thereby saving time to understand varying concepts.

Secondly, incorporation of technology in education promotes interactive learning. Interactive learning is a healthy and effective way of passing knowledge to learners. This is because interactive learning enables the learners to share information and thereby making each other more knowledgeable from the different views held by different people. In addition, through technology, the learners can interact with the tutors more easily and at personal levels. According to SEDL, through technology, learners can complete their activities at their own pace there by enabling the tutors to identify learners with difficulty in understanding certain concepts (1).

This means that tutors can assist learners with challenges in understanding certain aspects while the other learners continue with assignments that are more complex. Further, through online techniques, learners from different parts of the world can exchange data easily thereby facilitating easy research. On the other hand, technology acts as a good source of motivation to the students. According to Eyyam and Yaratan, incorporation of technology in teaching students allows the tutors to offer immediate feedback to students thereby motivating the students to participate in active learning process.

This is true because teaching aids such as use of projectors to demonstrate certain aspects allows the learners to point out specific areas that need clarification more easily compared to asking question. In addition, direct explanation through presentation of facts motivates the learners to ask for clarification easily and hence better understanding. Further, use of technology in learning encourages students by the fact that there is a clear-cut way of getting solutions to the concepts they do not understand.

For example, through online learning techniques, students can search through the internet to find solutions to problems they do not clearly understand from explanation by their tutors. Of more significance is that technology based education promotes increased knowledge among students and researchers. According to Pinker, technology involvement in studies has led to the increased number of discoveries made by modern scientists (1). Modern scientists involve technology in virtually everything they do from communication using emails to giving out lectures using PowerPoint representation (Pinker 1).

In addition, more discoveries are being made and additional information on already existing discoveries continue trickle into the world despite the incorporation of technology in education (Pinker 1). This means that incorporation of technology in education promotes increased understanding and creates a good platform for research development that is healthy for students. Lastly, incorporation of technology in education system enables student to understand and acquire the necessary skills required for their future.

According to Huneycutt, incorporation of technology in education system enables both the tutors and students learn some important skills that are necessary in the current century (1). This is true because it is by using technologically aided devices that many people in school get to learn current issues that may affect them. In addition, students can learn important skills such as leadership and communication skills that are important for their future undertakings (Huneycutt 1). In conclusion, students should use technology in their studies in order to achieve better results in the education sector.

Further, from the above discussion, it is evident that technology confers many advantages to both the students and tutors when incorporated into the education system. Therefore, it is important that all stakeholders in the education sector emphasize on use of technology to achieve better results. Works Cited Eyyam, R and Yaratan, H.
