The paper "Development of a New Outreach Service for US Military Veterans Suffering from PTSD" is a perfect example of a business capstone project.  Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is recognized as a major health burden in US military veterans, due to its high prevalence and high rates of disability associated with the disorder. PTSD refers to a set of conditions where there are recurrent thoughts of some past traumatic event that takes place in the mind of military personnel impacting the quality of life and often leads to depression and suicide.

Thus in these officers, it is a chronic condition and causes psychological suffering and social disability often leading to homicide. Hence the proper and timely management of PTSD is highly important. Barriers that compromise treatment of PTSD include accessibility to the health care centers, under-diagnosis of the issue and often lack of perceived benefit from traditional treatments (Cantor and Price, 2007). The current study would be conducted based on the issue that the US Military Veterans are not receiving treatment fast enough from the Veterans Hospital in Ann Harbor, Michigan or Metro, Detroit, Michigan as most of the veterans are from a rural setup and fast access was not always possible.

Therefore whether the intervention of a third party like the Military Veteran NGO Service Organization ( from hereon will be referred to as MNSO) could alleviate this problem of caregiving and fast treatment to minimize the incidences of PTSD related suicides in this Military Personnel. MNSO acts as an independent organization to provide outreach services to rural veterans who are compromised for getting fast and effective treatment. To achieve that objective there needs to be a feasibility study to evaluate whether the intervention planned would be effective in reducing the tendency of suicide and improve the other quality of life parameters in these patients and at the same time whether the project would be cost-effective.

Thus the health services feasibility study conducted by the MNSO will decide the viability of creating a new health services operation to address the existing needs or to bridge the gap for delivering quality treatment for the patients (Georgakellos and Marcis, 2009).
