Merchandise Mix The retail store under analysis stock mainly women’s products. These products are ified under the different uses that they have. The major classifications of the products include women’s clothes, which generally entails the different types of clothing. This major category is further subdivided into the different types of clothes that they stock. The next major classification is the handbags; this category further classifies the different types of handbags that can be found in the store.

The other major classification found in the store is the jewelry. This category classifies the womens jewelry stocked in the store. Shoes are also a major classification of the goods that the store stocks up on. The store has also classified some of their other products under accessories. The store also has a classification for girls clothing. This are intended for their younger female customers. This category is further broken into the different age groups of their younger clients. The brand of their products is manly their in house label, most of their products are under their store name.

Third party brand names are not available at the store. The quantity of the merchandise stocked by the store is quite wide; they provide a large assortment of products. These include different colors and designs of the products they are selling. Their assortment caters for all the needs of an average customer, by trying to avail all the products that one would look for. They have tried to provide their clients with a wide variety of goods that will cater for them. An example of their products that they have carried in deep assortment, are their dresses.

In their presentation of their dresses they display different types of dresses. They display well over ten types of dresses that are suitable for many different occasions, and these are presented in different colors, giving the customer the liberty to choose which type of product they want according to their taste. Due to the diversity of the products they offer, there are different size ranges and classification depending on the category that is under analysis. Some of their categories offer products in one size only.

An example of this is the handbags. The jewelry category also has this fitting. These other categories offer a wider range of sizes. The dresses are available in 13 different sizes. These range from small, medium, to large and extra-large, then they are further available in size zero to size fourteen. The shoes are also available in a variety of sizes. They are available from size five all the way to size ten. The size classification is also available for other types of clothing like pants. Visual Presentation The classification of merchandise in this store is very well presented.

The classifications make it easier for one to find their way around the store because all the similar products have been placed in the same categories. For example of you want to find tops, you’ll easily find them under clothing. The display of the different assortment of colors gibes the customer a feel or a wider range. They store have achieved this by displaying a sample of all the products they have. The merchandising presentation that creates the strongest visual impact is the use of colors.

The wide use of different colors gains more attention than any other presentation technique. When met by this the customers feel that they have access to a wider variety of products. The color story featured this season is pink, this is the overall theme employed by the store. This can be seen as they have a sample of each of their products available in this color for display. The items that seem to be selling well right now are summer dresses. The store has more focus on the summer dresses for their clients.

This is because the season right now is summer and it easier to sell summer dresses. This can be seen because the store has offers on these products and related items. Because of the summer most of the shoes that are stocked are the ones that complement summer dresses and are mostly open.
