Developing the Proposal: The Evaluation The aim of this research paper is to address how the evaluation process will be done to our children’s home to determine whether we are moving towards achieving our objectives. According to Stufflebeam & Shinkfield (2007), the evaluation process is the collection and analysis of quality information to determine whether objectives have been achieved. The different kinds of evaluations that can be done are product evaluation, personnel evaluation, policy evaluation, and program evaluation (Alkin, 2010).

For the process of evaluation to be done effectively and formally an evaluation model might be essential but not paramount. According to Bouyssou (2000), a set of explicit and well defined rules to measure evaluation parameters and collect, assess and process the information obtained is important in any form of evaluation process. In this evaluation process, an evaluation model can be used depending on the objectives set with the questions that require to be addressed being used as parameter of the model.

One of the major questions that our evaluation process will address is whether we will be able to be competitive enough within the children’s homes domain. This will actually indicate our ability to get fatherless children to admit in our children’s home despite the fact that we are not the only children’s home that is operating in this area. This will be measured by the number of children that we will be admitting in our children’s home within certain periods that will be chosen by our monitoring team.

It will also be measure by the number of children from a particular ethnic or race that the home will be attracting. Another question that our evaluation process will address is whether we have enough skills, strengths, attitudes and energies within our employees that can help us to achieve our objectives. This on the other hand will be measured by the number of social services that the home will be able to hold within a certain period of time and the number of employees with certain types of qualification that the home has attracted.

Another question will be whether we are monitoring, utilizing, and managing our financial resources well. This will be measured using the analysis of the financial resource we obtain within a certain period of time and the purpose these resources are used to achieve. Another question that will be closely related to this is whether our policies are effective and whether the structures that we have put in place are effective. The number of children will measure this that we will be rehabilitating on annual bases as well as the number of young people whom we will be nurturing to responsible people annually.

Moreover, our evaluation process will need to address the question about the information that we will be communicating to various users and how we have planned to expand as the need for home by the fatherless children increases. The information communicated question will be measured by evaluating the content of our website while the expansion question will be measured by the acquisitions we make on annual bases. To evaluate the progress or our children’s home program an evaluation process is done in form of an evaluation model with the questions to be addressed making up our model parameters.

These questions are measured differently depending on their properties and then the information collected is analyzed and interpreted to give the evaluation results. This method has been successful since it has been allowing parameter comparison and have helped as to realize in were we are not doing right. Reference Alkin, M. C. (2011).
