SWOT analysis Family package Dubai
Holiday packages are developed by tour operators and consist of transport and accommodation that are advertised and sold out as a single item. It may include other services such as car renting. This idea was begun by Thomas Cook in the 19th century. The idea has been used in the tourism sector for several years and is still being used in the promotion of services (Hollensen, 2007, p. 63). Holiday packages should not lead to losses in a business profits. Family packages are rare but provide opportunity for business. The strength, weakness, opportunities, and threats for the company in during operation are as shown below
Strength of the package is the identification of market neglect of children. As shown by the holiday packages offered by other companies, children are not mentioned as part of the deal and services offered to them is not mentioned in the catalogue. The weakness of the package is the inability to deal with families with more than three children, which is, common in domestic tourism (Drucker, 2002). There are several opportunities resulting from technological changes in children accessories creating an opportunity to provide the children with activities during their stay and facilitate revenue collection. The greatest threat affecting the package is inflation and global recession. The package is based on the prevailing market prices as such changes in inflation will affect the profit margin of the company.
