2. How long have you been in business?I have been in this business for 10 years.3. What led you to own your own business? Had you always imagined yourself owning your own business? Or was this a “career path” that developed over time?I have been working as a salaried person for years. Initially, I used to take freelance IT projects in my spare time. Gradually, I gathered an online team of software designers. My team grew with time and then I realized that I can now earn double of what I was being paid by my employer if I invest ten hours to my own business.
Since I gathered the best software designers, I always had in my mind to start my own business. By now, I have the best team. My developers and programmers are highly qualified and quite experienced. 4. How did you determine what type of business you would start?I did a PhD in Computer Science; I have all the PhDs in my team. All my software designers are double or triple degree holders. I never compromise on quality and this is the reason for my success. Frequently, I receive appreciation letters at my personal email address info@thesoftvisionsolutions.com. My team grew so gradually that I never actually had to look for people to work for me.
I have been dealing with excellent programmer and developers always for my customers. I charge very low and deliver quality work. That’s how I managed to start.5. Is this your first (only) experience with owning your own business? Or have you owned other businesses before? As discussed previously, I have been dealing with delivering top class IT solutions. We work in various dimensions. We provide tools, programs, software, since all sort of IT solutions and a lot more at surprisingly low prices.
However, before www.thesoftvisionsolutions.com, I never owned any other business, but yes was working as a freelancer for a few software houses. 6. What are the things outside your control that affect your business the most? Honestly, nothing much affects my work. My family understands my work. My wife also works with me in my office. My team is so strong that they take care of affairs even when I am not around. This is a blessing so I really don’t have anything to worry. 7. What are the greatest challenges you face in running your business?
Every company looks for business in two ways, retaining existing customers and acquiring new customers. For a company like www.thesoftvisionsolutions.com, acquiring new customers could be a great challenge. Since we operate online, we rely on search engines. Many companies are working online that do not really have quality providers as programmers. We only request first chance as later we know, our customer will never go anywhere else. Summing up, while working online, defeating other search results and being chosen by the new customer is the biggest challenge for any online software house that operates online like us.8. What do you enjoy most about owning your own business?
It is good to retain the trust of our existing clients. A few customers are with me since day one. It gives me a great feeling. I tell my Customer Care Team, never to take my customers light. I have clearly mentioned my email addresses to launch proper complaints against any of my agent on my website www.thesoftvisionsolutions.com if they are not treated fairly or are not satisfied by any mean. I personally take care of complaints from my company. At my company, the customer is a king and I expect my agents to respect them more than me.
I enjoy retaining each and every customer of my company. 9. What one piece of advice would you give to a college student interested in owning his/her own business someday? One should always tend to tackle real-time situations. Interpersonal skills, decision-making ability, and sincerity with others lead you to success. One must be confident in providing whatever product or services you tend to offer and confidence only comes when your product or service is 100% up to the mark. If you cheat your customer, you cannot be successful ever in your business.
Keep your profit margin low and provide quality services. This is the only myth of success in any business.
