Southwest Airlines In the operation of an organization, there are different things that companies and individuals give priority so that they can achieve the things that they plan to. Organizations determine the codes of ethics that they can set to control internal and external interaction between its employees and other business partners who depend on it to achieve its goals. These codes of ethics are made clear by the organization management so that they can ensure that all the people are in conformity to it and therefore, they are able to establish their relationships. These codes of ethics are designed in such a way that all the people are able to establish all the employees will be will perform their duties in a proper way even when they are not under supervision. The Southwest Airlines Company is one of the companies that have provided a proper way of ensuring that it offers highest quality services to all their partners and through these they have continued to increase in their income. Southwest Airlines Company has properly formulated code of ethics that ensures that its employees can conduct themselves in ways that are considerable to the company. This company has also established a good consideration for the international standards and needs and therefore, it has continued to establish their business with a focus on many people (Kelly, 2008). The company has managed to expand its business in terms of the facilities that they use so that they can satisfy the desires of the international community. This has ensures that their business performance has company has risen because from within, the company has established a code of ethics that regulate how individuals relate and perform their duties and to the outside, the company has a culture that establishes its commitment to deliver quality services to the international community. According to Kelly (2008), Southwest Airlines has a code of ethics that is targeted to regulate the way people interact and respond to the different things they encounter in their delivery of services. The code of ethics in the company ensures that the employees develop a culture of responsible service delivery to all their clients. This culture is supposed to ensure that they have developed a code that requires all its employees comply with the law, rules and regulations that determine when, where and how action will take place and determine who is to guide the performance of the activity. The code of ethics allows that all the employees should respond to international and local clients according to the orders that are set out by the organizational management to ensure that they are able to deliver services without partiality. Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) seriously deals with aspects of corruption in the company in the company as notes Berger (2011). According to the Southwest Airlines’ code of ethics, there are issues no employees of the company is allowed to make any unwarranted payment to any government official from within the country or even from other places in the world. This code is made to ensure that all acts of corruption are prevented and this is an evidence of the company’s commitment to the delivery of services at a fair competition level. This means that Southwest Airlines Company is does not feel threatened by other companies that offer similar services in the market. The company has established this code of ethics as a regulation for the members of the society but it has implication on an individual who breaks it because it can amount to a legal offense. This means that the company has a code of ethics that will ensures that it will be able to regulate its internal and external environment (Kelly, 2008). Another ethical issue that form an important aspect of the life of the Southwest Airlines is the aspect that it has a clear stipulation on how it will compete honestly with other companies. For example, they offer the opportunity to customers to change their tickets prior to charging as opposed to other airline companies that charge (Mutzabaugh, 2013).Through this, the company intends to ensure that it has established its business in the ways that will ensure that it can ensure that the company will thrive through fair means. This means that all the people will be to ensure that the company will take the opportunities that are available to it and do its best through its employees so that they can earn the acceptance of the customers. This also implies that that the Southwest Airline Company has a commitment to ensure that it can get customers from other companies so that they can use its services in place of other companies maintain the highest standards of services. The Southwest Airlines ensures that it can offer services that beyond what the other companies in the environment offer so that they can win the trust of the employees. The company has a code that prevents any employee from presenting personal interest before the interest of the company so that they can remain committed to the highest quality of services. Through this, the management of the Southwest Airlines ensures that it offers equal opportunity to all its employees so that any chance that arises is given to the one who merits it. This is an ethical issue that if the company fail to observe can lead to inequality because the employees are required to benefit equally (Mutzabaugh, 2013). Mutzabaugh (2013) noted another regulation in the code of ethics of the Southwest Airlines as the way the company employees and management are required to handle the resources of the company. This means that all of them have an obligation to keep securely all the properties of the company so that they are not misused. This can fall in the category of an ethical issue because it requires that the employee should have a responsible behavior when they are handling the resources of the company to avoid wastage and misappropriation. This ensures that the employees are able to observe good behavior so that no available resources are used for the benefit of the few at the cost of the majority. In the operation of the Southwest Airlines, it has put some international considerations to ensure that they benefit from the business and can be sustainable. This is because at a time like this, the connection to different companies so that they can ensure that they deliver these services to the growing number of customers from within the world. This includes strategies to expand their facilities so that they can accommodate the largest possible number of people in the business. In this respect, some of the international considerations that the Southwest Airlines have put in place is the way different countries offer opportunities for the transport by ensuring that they have relationships that are to sustain the company. In establishing business in different places in the world, the company has ensured that it focuses on the opportunities that may exist and those that are likely to diminish so that they can earn profit from the different ventures. This will ensure what the company establishes does not fall short of the expectation of making the profit (Kelly, 2008). Another international consideration that Southwest Airlines Company factors in during the selection of establishment of their business is the seasonality of the movement of people into a place or to such places. This will ensure that they do not establish a business venture that will fall after a short time in operation or that will not be functional at some particular times in the year. In this respect, the company has been able to come up with flight services that target these places and others through creating flexibility in movement in that they have long and short flights. On one side, the issue of the international consideration for the Southwest Airlines ensures that they have different sizes of planes that are to offer services to the customers. Through the different sizes of the planes, they are able to establish the ones that are able to give higher return on the bases of the economy (Kelly, 2008). The other international consideration for Southwest Airlines is the fact of carrying out inspection for the planes that they use so that they can ensure safety of their customers. Stoller (2010) identifies the implication that an airline company will have to get if it misses to adhere to the international standards of operation. This happens because violation of the regulation set out by the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) is considered as risk to the lives of the travelers and therefore, going against them attracts fines and sanctions. In some of these cases, the sanctioning may affect the delivery of services and therefore, Southwest Airlines has to make considerations into these regulations so that they can continue to offer services to customers without risking their lives (Berger, 2011). In order to offer high quality services, there are different services that the Southwest Airlines have put into consideration so that it can ensure that it has a competitive advantage over its competitors. This has happened because through the regulation of the internal and the external environment through their code of ethics, the company has been able to maintain its reliability in delivery of services. This is because through its employees it has been able to provide very high quality services to all the customers that seek their services. On the other hand, the company has made the analysis that has enabled it to make considerations that ensure that the company’s business ventures at the international level continue to thrive. These international considerations for the Southwest Airlines have helped the company in decision making so that they can choose the most productive out the available choices.
