Download file to see previous pages From his teaching experience, Fagan got a deeper understanding of human behaviors and other anthropological aspects that significantly affected his approach to matters as portrayed in Chaco Canyon where facts, examples, and the flow of ideas extremely indicates possession of extensive knowledge in the subject.
In reviewing Fagan’s Chaco Canyon, Lourie states that it is a great book that demystifies the many myths often held about America, a rather mysterious place (p.192). He further states that the book vastly indicates Fagan’s experience and anthropological prowess by drawing on current research on the Canyon people and the Chaco environs. Similarly, Mills explains that the Fagan’s Chaco Canyon is a mesmeric story of people and their environ going deeper to explore the challenges of poverty, cosmos, and rising children, thus deviating from ordinary storytelling of dusty digs and artifacts (Mills, N.p).
