Inception :Business or Art - Coursework Example

The film I watched, Inception, should be considered art. The nature and the scope of the film make a presentation that issurreal and infinite. As you continue to move on to the character’s journey you realize it goes deep into the past. It resembles a video game structure since the narrative is reversible and there are several things going on at the same time though at different speeds. Art is evident when the filmmaker confirms a hypothesis that is put forward by critics (Bordwell 50). The type of exposition in the film is just wonderful and it makes the film not to get boring.

The exposition makes the film an entertainment thus making it more of an art than business (Bordwell 54). In Inception, the heist explanation is continuous and this keeps the audience on for the entire film. Art films are supposed to keep the audience active through the entire time they are watching and Inception has managed to do this well. Engaging the audience is an important aspect for art film. Involving the audience is part of the plot unlike in business films where the audience only learns about the traits and backgrounds of the characters.

In the film inception, the audience gets a feeling of satisfaction through getting close to the characters in a convectional way.The prestigious patterning of the film Inception also makes it an art film.
