Street Art is Art The art which gets developed within the public sphere is referred to as street art. This is essentially the unsanctioned art whichis in direct contrast to the government sponsored measures and initiatives. It is a fact that it could include graffiti artwork, sticker art, street posters, wheat-pasting, guerilla art, street installations and flash mobbing to name a few. The street art is not entirely an act of vandalism because it is different from the traditional graffiti because the latter relies strongly on the premise of hurting the cause of the society while street art aims to inculcate a sense of belief and hope within the people at large that all is not lost and there is still some ray of light left within their domains (Keyes, 2011).

The street art touches upon significant aspects of human comprehension. Some artists have made use of street art to come up with non-art contexts and the challenge has been enormous all this while. The existing environments are continuously questioned through a language of its own, brought forward by the realms of street art (Author Unknown, 2011). They want to communicate their work to the people and change the social sphere with the incorporation of relevant themes and for that they employ the use of aesthetic and artistic values.

The street art is an art on the streets which is essentially anything apart from graffiti (Robinson, 2011). Therefore how it differentiates itself from vandalism comes about in the wake of understanding that its role is distinctive and clear cut, which is not the case with vandalism in any society of the world.
