Bon Echo Provincial Park Student’s Name: Institution: Course Title: Course Code: Date of Submission: Nature is what human eye can see that, and it comprises of animals, plants, landscape and any other feature in the world. Also, all the things involved in nature are not made by a human, but instead they are as a result of creation. Nature makes the environment look beautiful due to various things phenomena that are present. For instance, landscape, big fall, lighting occurring during eruption among others. Studying of nature is regarded as a science due to the understanding of various forces that takes place in it. For example, the eruption of the mountain, occurrence of lighting and many others. Even if it is regarded as a science, it also comprises of human activities and how they cause certain natural phenomena to occur. Nature can be described as an ecosystem which is a unit comprising of animals, microorganisms, and plants, in an area running collective with all non-living physical factors of the environment (Fisher et al. 2009). Ecosystem id divided into two one is called Natural which occurs naturally without the influence of the man, and the other is called human-made which is brought by the power of the man and usually controlled (Raudsepp et al. 2010). Type, so ecosystem is: 1. Aquatic Ecosystem Comprises of plants and animals that depend on the amount of water present in the least path of the year. 2. Chaparral Ecosystem It is a dense, impenetrable thicket of shrubs or dwarf trees. A vegetation type dominated by shrubs and small trees that are evergreen with small leaves. 3. Savannah Ecosystem A tropical or subtropical grassland is comprising distributed trees and drought-resistant undergrowth. 4. Tundra Ecosystem This is a type of ecosystem dominated by lichens, mosses, grasses and woody plants, it is mostly found in high latitude areas and has characteristic of arctic and sub-artic regions. 5. Rainforest Ecosystem It is a mixed rainforest or forest where eucalyptus grows in combination with a temperature of the woods species. From the explanation above nature has many classifications and human has an effect and is changing. For instance, in urban areas human has improved by building industries’ which in turn pollutes the environment. Another change is cutting down of trees, leading to little precipitation of rainwater and hence turning some regions into the desert. Also, lowering the water levels in the sea, oceans, and lake and interfering with the aquatic life. The study of the environment was undertaken in on Bon Echo Provincial Park, which is less than an hour drive from Ottawa and is perfect since one will be able to interact with different type of ecosystems. The reason for selecting the site is because of various features that are present in it, and they include lake, rocks and many natives’ pictographs. Pictographs are the rock carvings but not the rock paintings like the ones that are found in the Mazinaw. The coordinated of the bow echo provincial park is 440 54´14´N 770 15´18´W. The size of the park is estimated to be 8294.0ha, and the address is 16151 Hwy. 41. It was established in 1965 and is a natural environment without the influence of the man activity. Some of the Mazinaw rocks that re found on the site about 100 meters in length but they do not contain any paintings. The park is opened once seasonally once in a year. The experience of being there was awesome, and I enjoyed the following are some of the things that I learned from the site. The location has some animals that are the birds and the insects. The sound that was being produced in the place was squeak that was being generated by the insects and is clear to be heard by human ear. Although it was not the only sound that was being produced another was chatter that was had on the site. The sound was a mixture of birds on the location and machines that were moving, for example, the motor boat and vehicles in the park. The park is so big such that no one can be able to navigate on foot and therefore has to use machines. The animals whose sound was had are birds and insects in the vegetation. Geophone refers to the remaining of nature, and it is the sound that makes a person be able to remember about a place. From the park, the noise of the wind blowing and that of the water is what that was heard. The wind that is blowing in the region is a feeling that one cannot forget and also fi exposed again will remember. Water is hitting the rocks especially from the Lake Ontario and the wind blowing when someone is on top of Mazinawa rocks. Anthrophony refers to the human activities and the noises that are caused. Some of the human activities include swimming, rock climbing, boating, and driving in the park and campaign. All of those activities produces makes noise that is heard some are like a gunshot and like the sound of the truck. The noise of a gunshot is heard as result of people diving in the water and swimming. That of the trucks is heard due to the vehicle that is moving around in the park and also the motor boats. Another is the aircraft that is moving that may be moving over the site and noise from the Ottawa city since it is located close the city. Movement of human in the bushes also causes some noise that is in the form of the cracking breaking some of the bushes. Culture and ecology It is the discussion of the site is related to the environment and what is seen as natural and what is not natural from the study. The site occurs many features that occur naturally and the site it consists of three ecosystems one is aquatic, forest and rural. The temperature ranges from 7oc to 100c signifying that the region is freezing and therefore it is a natural place. If it were human-made, it would be tough to maintain such degrees. It is shown that the system is a rural ecosystem with trees being to enable it to maintain such levels. The primary study of culture and ecology is used to show how a human can adapt to any environment whether it is physical or social. The process of the adaptation refers to the biological and cultural practices that can be practiced so as to fit in any environment. The first adaptation is the natural circumstances of the region. Bon Park has very low temperatures that human needs to understand to known how to mitigate. Another is the natural occurring rocks that stand at the height of 100 meters, and they cannot occur due to the influence of the human (Gobster et al. 2007). Something else that is natural about the site is the lakes that are surrounded by the rocks where people go swimming and boating. The lakes are naturally there and for a human to fit in such an adaptation must understand the places that do not occur due to the influence of the man. Focusing on the climate and the animals that are seen in the park. For instance, the weather is cool with the cold breeze from the sea and the cold surroundings of the environment. The green vegetation growing in the park just shows how cold the region is. Also, to completely fit in a location one need to understand the effects of the human activities. Some of them are a plantation of the trees in the site which is meant to maintain the cold temperature of the region. Human plants trees, and before the site was established, there was a period of the transition. Another is the camping site, and that is what it is famously known for. Human picks a place that is, and the action of another created it. Therefore camping site is made by a person because they understand what the other wants. The roads that reused to navigate the park all of them were made into the existence by the action of a human. Continuous use of the road made them be permanent influencing also other to use the same routes. The effect of human causes changes of the vegetation cover to one preferred. The cover can be cultivated or another planted. The only influence is the type of that is existing in the region. For a human to understand the environment they must at first understand the culture of the area and how it is related to ecological of the environment. From the field study undertaken and analysis of the Bon Echo provincial park, it is clear to understand that nature is divided into two main section that is natural and human-made (Liu et al. 2007).
