Extract of sample "A Successful Arrival of the Hydrogen Economy"

Hydrogen has lower ignition probability and hence any leak no matter how minimal can cause the ignition to take place which in turn causes fire explosion that can easily be dispersed far away based on the wind, hence many can be harmed and property destroyed as a result of all this (Pasman 6). As a result of using the confidence level, uncertainties from lack of knowledge or damage mechanisms can be calculated and certainty provided hence increasing safety. In-depth analysis before any final decision is made is necessary.

Factors such as self-rescue, evacuation, the seriousness of injuries, access routes and mitigation factors are important to be considered in the risk analysis process. Despite the discussion above, there is still further needed research on the formation of a risk metrics system which can be able to reduce uncertainties strongly. Further research on the decision making the process for the sake of public safety is also needed as they all pertain to the risk assessment (Pasman 10).
