Guru Nanak is one of these ten leaders. Guru Nanak is treated as the supreme leader in Sikhism. He teaches about the key basics of Sikhism and hands over his knowledge to the next nine Gurus. All the next Gurus worked on the teaching of Guru Nanak and developed the faith and trust of Sikhism over the next four centuries and made the religious history of approximately 400 years. The fifth Guru, who was named guru Arjan compiled the first holy book of Sikhism (BBC Religion). He also established the first estate “Amritsar” for Sikh Community. All ten gurus devoted their lives to the establishment of the Sikh Religion due to their efforts. Sikhism is one of the fastest-growing religions in the world.

Belief about GOD: The concept of GOD in Sikhism is very clear. Sikh Community believes that there is only one GOD. He is the only creator of the entire Universe. Law of Karma: Sikhs believe that their lives depend on the law of karma. According to the law of karma, the condition of the person depends upon the factor of how he behaved in his previous life.
Other Beliefs: Sikhism aims to make the environment peaceful. Sikhism states that the truth is the key to all virtues. The religion encourages that truth and justice is a key to a peaceful life. Sikhism also states that if a person wants to feel pure feelings of GOD, then he must switch his attention from all other material things to only one GOD. That is the only way in which human achieves the maximum level of liberation. In addition, the teachings of the Guru Nanak also state that GOD does not have a gender and cannot be understood by everyone easily. Love and worship is the only way to know the real means of GOD. Sikhs believe that their souls and hearts are the best tools to find GOD. Sikhs believe that they can feel real pleasure and travel on the way to liberation by avoiding certain things such as lust, anger, pride, and attachment to the things in this world.

Potential problems which Sikhism might have with the American or western health care system:
The main origin of Sikhism is South Asia. A huge population of the Sikh community lives in India and Pakistan. People of these regions use herbal techniques (called Ayurveda) for medical treatments. They prefer these techniques because they have seen their advantages for generations. On the other side of the coin, the Western and American healthcare systems do not allow these techniques as favorable treatment for any disease. Sikhism has also some religious conflicts with the Western healthcare system. For example, the Sikh community does not shave hair from their body.
