People develop various perspectives or different views about a similar issue. The difference in how people view things is because each person has his/her self-fulfilling prophecy that dictates how a given situation will unfold. Therefore, once a case has gone as prophesied, the person will reaffirm that indeed he/she knew the outcome of the circumstance beforehand (Tauber, 2007).

Intuition is the ability to know something without any analytical reasoning. It is an impulse that occurs to us when we are faced with situations we tend to have an idea about without any form of logical understanding. Psychologically, the main difference between human beings and animals is that people can utilize both logical reasoning and instincts to make decisions while animals solely depend on abilities. Some of the strengths of intuition include one can listen and observing a situation more keenly, with an inner voice offering direction (Goodman, 2010). The situation will not be the same without an intuitive voice. Typically, intuition provides wise counsel concerning the situations that people are facing even though it is difficult to ascertain if it is logically correct.

Conversely, intuition challenges the mind of an individual to choose either the intuitive option or the one as a result of logical reasoning, by doing so you would have exhaustively analyzed the options before settling for the best. However, intuition can be misleading at times as it causes confusion between the logical aspects of the situation and the intuitive thus failure to address a problem adequately. Sometimes by following our intuitions we tend to act on ideas that are not logically proven thus going against the science of logic. Though people tend to support their perceptions, intuitions are not always correct and thus should not be followed blindly (Goodman, 2010).
