The news agenda targeted the global audience and was reported form a cultural perspective wherein the government agencies involved are disrespected and exposed of the hideous activities against the overall public good. This news agenda is politically oriented given the involved of NSA and the GCHQ as well as Edward Snowden. The predominant news values in this news agenda are; impact, timeliness, prominence, bizarre, conflict and proximity. First, the news agenda has been featured with close proximity to the occurrence of the espionage activity by the NSA and GCHQ in which the revelations were made in June this year hence attracting attention from the public. The impact value of the news agenda is quite relatable given that this is an issue of security concern over the internet affecting the entire universe. Prominence of the news agenda cannot be undermined given the mention of personalities such as the NSA contractor and the leading information technology firms as well as the British GCHQ which is a government agency. Undeniably, this news agenda involves bizarre given that it was less likely for the unsuspecting public to come into terms with revelations that the government has been spying its citizens in a world wide scale.
