Everyone goes through several experiences in life that greatly help achieve persistence. When I skim my experiences that introduced me to my most persistent side, then, most evidently, glances of election for Kuwaiti student’s representation come in my mind. I still remember the year of 2009 when I got to understand how I practically got to witness fraud despite a democratic process was being conducted. I am a supporter of Alwihda student organization that represents the Kuwaiti student population. Alwihda student organization had been constantly able to gain confidence of Kuwaiti student population. It was because of the confidence that Alwihda was able to win elections consecutively since 2002.

In 2009, I witnessed fraud during the elections as the National Union of Kuwaiti Students (NUKS) provided supervision. A special delegation from the Kuwaiti branch came to US as elections take place in US every year. Following the tradition, the elections for representation of Kuwaiti student was being conducted where the scores were changed in no time by avid fraud.

The competing student party was by a strong Muslim brotherhood that influenced National Union of Kuwaiti Students (NUKS) on the basis of their unfair means to be a part of elections. It was a very disappointing fact to note that during the elections, two separate rosters were arranged. I used one roster for general meetings at the end of which voters casted their votes. The second roster was considered as fake roster out of which 197 votes were discarded. The total count of votes that was 1000 was made cut by 197 votes. Consequently, it was noted that result came in the favor of Muslims brotherhood.

The incident of experiencing fraud in elections was one of the driving points. As unexpected, Alwihda student representation lost elections due to the influence of Muslims brotherhood on National Union of Kuwaiti Students. Someone completely biased the results as a situation like that never came to observation in prior elections. Despite fraud experience in elections, Alwihda managed to win elections at a lower level of authority.

My experience during elections was unpredictably shocking, as something like that never came to our minds. Living the experience in favour ism was an historical event in my life. Obviously, knowing the case of fraud, it was complicated to hold emotions for Alwihda supporters. But with the help of problem solving ability, our group managed to understand the situation. With the help of thorough thought-process, all supporters of Alwihda party decided to integrate public relations as a part of the campaign to reach back to the same point of success.

In other words, I can explain my experience of reaching to the point of losing elections and then becoming strong to manage situation as a reality check and an exercise to learn persistent you.
