Nursing authenticates for the use of critical thinking which gives nurses new objectives to deal with patients. Nurses are required to create new objectives that concur with the framework of nursing, which allows for proper healthcare. The nursing policy gives ethical morals under which nurses operate. Patient health has been prioritized in the new nursing approach in the current trend of the 21 century. I learned that in the professional line of duty with the preceptors and nurses help, the patients need have been outlined as an evidence-based approach to cope with the patient population in health centres. In the nurses’ proficient line of duty, critical thinking alongside research on evidence-based practices alongside knowledge and apprenticeship from mentors is important in improving patient’s healthcare. However, one of the weaknesses that I acquired was improper coordination of nursing policies with patients’ needs. I asked my preceptor a few questions but am still struggling with understanding the rest. I checked many of the lessons that researchers and nurses used online and wrote a few notes on them to follow up with the practice. One major lesson that I learnt was realistic thinking is required in nursing to come up with new solutions to problems in order to improve patient healthcare.

Health care delivery is important to nurses as it ensures that the patient’s health is prioritized. I realized, however, that many nurses did not adhere to evidence-based practices citing reasons such as time, lack of understanding of terms or jargons researches. These practices are crucial for a patient; hence it is important to train nurses, endorse them in knowledge and research tools alongside communication from their team leaders and mentorship programs. PPE kits need to be delivered, and information monitored for patient health care delivery. One of the problems that I encountered was miscommunication and wrong filing of patient’s information which lead to poor delivery of services. Since I had learned that communication is important between the health care teams and the patient by recognizing patient needs and making the right decisions for the best health care outcome, I Incorporated my knowledge which helped me solve this problem and that of the nurses.

Nursing interventions, ethics and morals are important to ensure the patient-nurse relationship is maintained. Communication must aim at maximum understanding of patient needs and concerns. Also, critical thinking is needed when making the right decisions, especially when patient comfortability and health is needed for patients in palliative care or end of life support. Family support is encouraged to ensure that patients are comfortable and morally supportive in an aim to make them feel at ease. Technology has helped to speed up communication, especially through intercoms and telephones that can improve nursing interventions and actions in healthcare systems. Ethics in hospitals are instigated through nursing policies and directorates who ensure that all rules are followed. Complaints from both patients and nurses are addressed, and possible solutions found for better health care. I had a problem with dealing with mentally unstable patients and also communicating with traumatized patients. Another problem was language barriers with people of different ethnic communities which forced me to get language translators. Also, new technologies were installed to help with the problem. I realized that I did not know how to use some technologies which forced me to use a manual or ask for help.

Overworking for nurses has been a sensitive norm in nursing health centre where nurses pick too many shifts hence ending up overworking themselves. This has led to the creation of social awareness to understand different aspects of work, such as understanding others needs and changes at nursing care centres. These sensitive topics such as the need for new PPEs and overworking need to be understood along with security, communication and networking, compassion and empathy for nurses and patients. One problem I encountered was my will to choose to work for extra shifts, hence getting extra tired, although my team leader voiced out my concerns and gave me some days off before being rescheduled. It is therefore important to acknowledge the origin of a problem and find solutions online; via course outline and through team leaders to come up with solutions that could aid both parties. Since some practices are hard to integrate and implement in real life, ethical reasoning is required to maintain human integrity at work for better healthcare. Strategic planning alongside nursing will and patient care is needed to ensure that time management and objective organization is mandatory for healthcare improvement. Nurses should realize that patient care comes first in nursing; hence they should devote their time and energy in ensuring patients’ needs are prioritized. One problem I encountered was patient complaints of not being catered for, so I had to critically think to save time and take care of the patients with some nurses’ help as per the instructions of my preceptor.

At work with the preceptor, I gathered that nurses had new health concerns from data submitted by patients during the last few weeks of domestic violence's, chronic illnesses and high blood pressure. I managed to work hand in hand with the nurses and gathered that most of the peers and teenagers had early pregnancies and suffered from drug abuse and addiction. One of the major problems I encountered was making the patients, especially domestic violence victims as I let my emotions get the best of me; however, I used online research and talked with a few mentors who talked me through the process hence being emotionally stable to handle the patients. Automation in hospitals improved patient healthcare outcomes. Customer care service helped nurses to cater for many services both in and outpatient. Also, in case of an emergency, communication was done effectively. I also learned that ICU, chemotherapy and kidney dialysis has been digitized and learned how to automate the machines. With this knowledge, online and course outline lessons, I realized that technology has improved healthcare systems since nurses can document, transport patients and communicate effectively.

Pharmaceutical, mental, global insurance, healthcare policies etc. have helped create ethical standards in nursing systems. Based on my online research, insurance policies, e.g. health insurance cover for expensive medical bills and treatments such as cancer, can help improve health care and are recommended to employees. Global health policies such as quarantine after a viral spread can help curb the speed of contagious ailments saving lives and improving healthcare. Since laws and regulations are my strengths, I realized that nursing health policies have to be maintained with strictness to achieve the best nursing care. As I co-ordinated with the leaders, I learned that critical thinking and communication is an important model in leadership. Sponsorship and mentorship are crucial issues that a leader follows alongside integrity in making better decisions for their team leaders. I also realized that emotional intelligence which is one of my weaknesses is required of a leader in order to maintain a professional relationship with the nurses and in demanding respect for orders to be followed and create room for advice.

A leader should demand humbleness for fellow nurses to co-operate with them. I learned that a leader should have strategic management to create objectives for fellow staff, especially in a crisis, such as accidents or emergencies. Health disparities between the young, teenagers, middle-aged and the old aged define the type of injuries, medication and the mortality rates based on my research and classwork. At the hospitals, I realized that the young and the old had a high mortality rate and risked injuries and chronic illnesses that lead to their deaths. Old aged are at a high risk of skin infections and are prone to injuries such as neck and limps due to their fragile states. Also, the middle-aged are prone to lifestyle diseases since they have limited time to exercise. Newborn are prone to respiratory diseases and skin infections since they are new to the world and have to be treated with care. Their medications were in liquid form compared to those of middle-aged patients who were given tablets. Middle-aged patients had a low mortality rate compared to old aged and newborn. I have a weakness for deaths, but I had to cope with my emotional stability using classwork tools and lessons.
