Nursing Informatics al Affiliation) Nursing Informatics Nursing informatics entails the use of computers and nursing science to manage and present data, skills, and information enshrined in the nursing field. However, the presence of computer bugs limit the capacity and efficiency of nursing informatics. Computer bugs relate to defects in computer programs or hardware malfunctions. The most prominent computer bugs that cause malfunction include the Heisenberg, the Bohrbug, the Mandelbug, and the Schrödinbug (Dodd, 2013).

The Heisenberg relates to the Heisenberg uncertainty principle and disappears or change character when users try to study it (Dodd, 2013). The Heisenberg crashes the software and takes time and effort to debug. The Heisenberg might occur when users use uninitialized variables. On the other hand, the Bohrbug is easy to detect and maintains its behavior (Dodd, 2013). Users can easily predict and reproduce the Bohrbug by running computer software with similar conditions. The Mandelbug is very violent and derives from complex causes.

Users can find the Mandelbug in the computer software. The bug relies on scheduling. It is very challenging to repair or debug this software bug (Dodd, 2013). Ultimately, we have the Schrödinbug that relates to Erwin Schrödinger (Dodd, 2013). The Schrödinbug manifests itself as a problem in a code where the problem should have prevented the code from working from the beginning (Dodd, 2013). The software bug can make the software to work or crash when a user decides to change the outcome of the problem in the code.

Apparently, computer bugs disrupt or malfunctions computer operations. The disruption of computer programs and operations jeopardizes the effectiveness of nursing informatics.ReferenceDodd, C. (2013). The four worst types of computer bug. Turbine. Retrieved from http://turbinehq.com/2013/software-bug/
