Entrepreneurial business concept Opportunity and conceptualization ment The health of an individual is a crucial part in the wellbeing of that person. A healthy home agency for caring for persons that are recovering from various challenges, in addition to taking concern of the wants of the community are a service that every community should endeavor to have. The opportunity at hand is to develop a community based and communally run social healthcare catering for the needs of the elderly and those recovering from their homes. A quality agency for health care includes services that meet all residents’ needs and requirements. Thus the agency has to have quality experienced social health based workers in addition to the fully certified nurses, personal attendants and some professional in physical and physiological health. The agency will give assistance for basic recuperation after the patient has been examined by the doctors. We shall plan to attend to the needs of that person such as cleaning, feeding, and administering the medication that patients have been administered (Braveman & Christina12). The opportunity also allows for use of expertise we shall have for doing first aid emergency calls on patients. If the discord suffered is easily manageable, we can attend to that issue. Concept statement Recovering from an incident if ill health is a great miracle that some of us take for granted. Managing to get support as the person is recuperating after having being treated is often a role many hospitals leave to the patients relatives. What happens if the person is elderly does not have parents or relatives living nearby and all neighbors are busy? With the huge population of many areas, it is even is hard for the available Medicare facilities to cater for all patients needs until they are fully well. This is the basis of the agency of home healthcare services. In so doing, the patients are sure that they shall continue to receive the professional monitoring for medical compliance hence recovering fully quickly. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Introduction From the concept statement, it is clear there is need for an organization that will cater for the needs of all persons irrespective of their social status (Braveman & Christina 21). Therefore, introducing an organization that caters for the needs of these people who require plenty of attention and care is the driving force to establish a home care clinic. The clinic to be catering for these needs is Medicare Recovery services. The opportunity at hand is establishing a community based healthcare facility that will help in decongesting the few available local and district as well as national hospitals. It is also to help the patients in cutting down the costs incurred while pursuing health services and accessing them with very minimal interference. A healthy patient’s recovering needs are significant for ensuring that the patient does not suffer relapse. Hence even as these patients are released from the established hospitals, they need first and support especially if they suffer from chronic illnesses. Medicare Recovery is a health services offering business venture that is communally based. Therefore its main client will be the patient from hospital at home recovering or people with special needs such as the elderly and the physically as well as mentally handicapped. As a service, we shall be directly in contact with our clients, attending to them precisely from their homes. This is because we acknowledge the fact that these people will do well if they are monitored in the presence of their loved ones (Han, Thurmon & Wu 26). Moreover knowing that there are no extra bills for bed as would be the case in the hospitals will keep them relaxed. We shall however provide additional holding capacity in our offices so as to accommodate for those who might not desire to stay in their homes or the clients who may need special observation and facilities that may not be availed at their homes. The service center will also have an emergency response unit to deal with basic emergency cases that may arise in our line of duty or in the neighborhood. The therapists will be handy in giving counseling and other related special needs to the clients. The management of Medicare Recovery services is simple structured mode. The team is made of administration director, clinical officer and other personnel who are going to help in the daily activities of the clinic. Moreover, we shall also include specialists in the field of psychological and speech therapists. These will aid in attending to special clients needs as they help them to recover. There will be nurses and personal attendants to help in administering services to clients. As the clinic is still young, directors who are also certified medical practitioners will also be helping in offering direct service to clients. A skilled nurse and experienced nurse will also be incorporated so as to provide support in the home nursing section of the clinic. She will be the overall in charge of the other nurses and personal attendants. She will supervise their daily duties and also allocate them with the duties. An addition of a social worker is also important to cater for the communal needs since we are communally based. We expect that with the demand for services, there will be a need to expand the team, hence allowing the two directors to take up their positions of management and delegate the other works to the junior employees (Han, Thurmon & Wu 104). Currently, the management and the team of personnel to work in Medicare Recovery services has been selected hence there are no gaps. However, we expect as we continue growing and establishing our self there will be gaps to hire more personnel to aid in the work. The feasibility study is conducted using research tool to assess the market and quality of services that we shall provide as well as the major needs of the community. To carry out this, we shall engage a special team with the statistical skills to carry out one-on-one interviews with members of the community we are going to serve. We shall also employ the use of questionnaires to gather information on both the market and other statistics that we need to know. Questionnaires will be used mainly in cases where individuals can read and write and also for confidentiality purpose. Our main target in the market is clients who will be referred to us by their physicians and doctors to have regular monitoring to their health. Majority will be patients whom we connect to from our community service programs. We shall also include the individuals who will seek our services from their own decision to access our services. The emergency department for instance will target mainly persons who have accidents and need fast home care first aid. The population of the community in Kansas is mainly aged (Watson 18). Most of these aged people opt to stay in their homes as opposed to being hospitalized or being taken to a nursing home. Thus these people will constitute the bulk of our target. These people who need the home nursing service will be carefully and effectively attended by our professionals. The additional target is individuals that may have suffered accidents that have need of case managing services to help on the path to recovery. Since our organization is community based and offers home care services, we shall keep our focus on these segments for our target market. The resources we need other than the personnel and skills are elaborate basic laboratory equipment and other testing instruments. We shall also need medical supplies and other resources as uniform, gloves and others. We have benchmarked other healthcare services and hence we have the knowledge of requirements and expectations in the market. The start-up costs we shall contribute as shareholders get grants from the government as a community based organization and also boost with a loan from the bank. However, after words we shall depend on the cash flow from the organization to expand the services. That implies that we shall have only highest expenditure as we set up the nursing facility. Estimates of expenditure are $75,465 for recurrent costs, $140,118 for salaries, $95,000 for feasibility and marketing, and utilities at $355,000 resulting in total starting budget of $645,583. These costs are based on the assumption that the economy will continue growing strong at its current rate and also that the policies do not change much in the future. In establishing the organization, there are a few obstacles that are bound to arise. Such is the issue of startup costs before the business gains ground (Watson 75). This is so considering that Medicare Recovery is a community based organization hence many investors may not be willing to support. Moreover, the success of the venture depends a great deal on the reception from the market. Thus it is expected that we shall have a struggle in establishing the institution. Another challenge is that of gaining the competitive edge. The market is not flooded hence there is a lot of untapped market. However, there already exist two well established organizations in this locale offering the same services. However, we believe that it is not about how long the individual has been on the field but rather it is how fast you can run that will make you win. Hence we are prepared to engage all competitive means as marketing and advertising to get the competitive advantage. Medicare Recovery shall employ two major approaches in establishing itself. The first strategy is vigorous advertisement through local based media and also use of brochures and pamphlets. We shall seek to establish connections to hospitals that serve the population so as to get them to refer their patients who may need our services to us. The pricing strategy is also effective. However, we shall endeavor to ensure we maintain the high quality hence clients will market us by means of the word of mouth when they are satisfied with the pricing and quality of our services. In conclusion, Medicare Recovery community center will be a well established home nurturing services center that will cater for all the needs of our clients in our line of work.
