The trumpeter followed in and was continuously accompanied by the piano, bass and cymbals. Drums and cymbals set in with hard and fast beats while the piano, trumpet and saxophone took a stroll. The percussion instruments were being played as an accompaniment to the drums and cymbals. The piano, saxophone and trumpet followed and the drums took a beat stroll and were then played in hard beats again. What followed was the piano, saxophone and the trumpet harmonies. It was funky and groovy. Conclusion The performances ranged from cool to funky to groovy, bebop and finally afro rhythms. As such, all the performances were indeed rich in harmony and melodies – this was the aspect that pleased me the most. The other factor that was pleasing about all the performances was that the members were enjoying themselves each moment. It is important to note that, in every musical piece/set, the members should always enjoy themselves. This will ensure that the performance is rich, real and heartfelt. If the members do not enjoy themselves, then the performance will lack the heartfelt bit and enthusiasm that a musician passes on to their audience. Each of the members was also watching how the other person was playing closely. This could have been in a bid to ensure that playing of each instrument was done at the right time so as to ensure that the harmony was professional. Lastly, each member was given a chance to showcase a little of what beats they had as part of the song. In conclusion, all the performances were ecstatic. For example, the song “A Night in Tunisia” was exceptionally rich due to the drum beating and percussions that had been incorporated.
