It should be interesting, healthy and culturally diverse so that children may always feel like having the food. Here is the recommended daily intake fact sheet i.e. RDI requirements or number of serves of each food group. The menu should be prepared keeping in mind the number of serves required for each age group. It should include all the food groups in specific ratio along with beverages and plenty of water intakes. It should not be monotonous everyday but should be diverse and attractive to see as well as per the saying that our eyes eat before our mouth does.

And it becomes equally vital for the food items to be interesting, hygienic as well as healthy. The above mentioned menu for children of various age groups and requirements fulfill 80% of food group requirements as per RDI. 100% is not provided because children have to take their last meal at homes too. Water should be available at every meal as it an important part of everyday diet. All these reflect the diversity of cultures catering to the needs of various children belonging to different environments and cultures.
