It is worth noting that the starring in this film is William Scott and Leiv Schreiber. Evidently, the major plot of the film can be summarized as a nice but averagely witted individual become a strong player in the sport of ice hockey thus becoming an enforcer of the minor league of the ice hockey game thus pushing his team to achieve greater heights. On the same note, the subsequent section of the paper will document the plot, analysis of the film as a whole, pointing out the major themes championed in the film.

Apparently, Doug Glatt, the role played by Seann William Scott working as a bouncer in a local night club in Massachusetts feels shun away from his foster family of Jewish descent due to the fact that his father and his brother are successful physicians, while he works at a night club as bouncer. On one fateful day Doug attend a local ice hockey match with his best friend Pat. Apparently, Pat taunts the visiting team during one off the fights that took place in the area and one of the players climbs to the stand and refers to Pat as a homosexual slur.

Responding to this offensive remarks from the player, Doug with ease beats up the opposing player on the basis that since his brother is gay the utterance form this particular individual were meant to portray the gay society as bad and filthy. On the same note, this triggers the crowd to cheer him on since the actions of this particular player were meant to be punished appropriately. Consequently, later that evening Doug gets a phone call from the coach of his local hometown team proposing him for the position of the team’s enforcer.

Evidently, this decision is prompted by the fact that the current tem enforcer was facing a twenty match ban for splashing an opponent in the head form behind. It is worth noting that, the current enforcer, The boss Rhea and Doug’s idol, Leiv had to be demoted for his action thus paving the way for the new
