Training In HazMat for Law Enforcers by Fire fighting Personnel Hazmat suits have been worn on the screen in sci-fi movies since a long time. In today’s uncertain world, wearing them has become an exercise that professionals from fields other than science are carrying on more than science or space researchers. The potential risk to the world through hazardous chemicals, whether industrial or having a terrorist background is today looming large over the world. Collectively, all departments of government are trying to share knowledge on this subject and save the world from disaster.

Handling of hazardous materials needs a lot of education, training and specialized equipment. The support team needs to be educated about the necessary regulatory information regarding handling of hazardous goods. The recent terrorist attacks the worlds over have infused a sense of panic in the common man. So, it is imperative that all law enforcers and support teams be prepared for any kind of emergency at any time.The recent incidence of setting a series of 5 star hotels on fire after using them as their hideouts and holding the guests as hostages in Mumbai has made every law enforcer think about combating emergency situations like this.

Of late, many professionals have realized the value of being trained in HAZMAT support.In addition to being provided with HAZMAT vapor suits, the training course will include:Recognition and identification of clues that that would determine the presence of HazMat/WMD. This could be biological, chemical or nuclear materials.Training in wearing hazmat encapsulated suits . These are specialized vapor suits along with masks to ensure the safety of the operator.Perform emergency decontaminationSafety and First aid training with basics of ALS (Advanced Life Support)Mock sessions in busy and terrorist prone areas Evaluation of training Our own firefighting team is well equipped to handle any hazmat emergency.
