The difference between bipolar 1 and 2 disorder lies in the severity of the manic episodes caused by each. For instance, a person with bipolar one experiences full manic disorder while an individual with bipolar two only experiences fewer symptoms which are less severe than a full manic episode(Schug, & Fradella, 2015). A person with bipolar might not experience major depressive episodes, while the other individual with bipolar two could experience extreme depressive episodes. Individuals with bipolar two do not require hospitalization during their less severe attacks, while in bipolar one needs a patient needs to be hospitalized. I agree that Mood Disorders are not allowed as a defense for the insanity plea. During court proceedings, not every condition qualifying to be the basis for an insanity defense can succeed in achieving pardon. Those who succeed are either marked by evidence showing that they have severe psychological problems instead of having any psychological disorder. For instance, these could be mental illnesses that affect an individual’s reality or perception, thus controlling their behavior. Most courts often rule that serious psychotic issues and mood disorders qualify to be categorized as mental disorders. A person could be having mild anxiety which might be vague and unsettling or having severe anxiety that affects their day-to-day lives(Schug, & Fradella, 2015). It often involves repeated episodes of extreme anxiety or fear that reach a peak within seconds. People with this disorder avoid places to prevent such feelings. The symptoms of the disease could start during childhood and persist later in adulthood.

 I believe panic disorder is the most debilitating disorder compared to other anxiety disorders. The panic disorder is often associated with frequent and recurring panic attacks that could be annoying. The DSM diagnosis criteria define a panic attack as quick surges of extreme discomfort that peak within seconds. The attacks produce a vast and overwhelming sensation of terror that is debilitating. The intense fear is followed by a faster heartbeat rate, sweating, shaking, nausea, and fear of dying. The symptoms could begin as a teenager or as young adults under the age of 25 (Schug, & Fradella, 2015). People who have more than four panic attacks often live on fear of having other panic attacks in the future. It is approximated that an attack can last for 10 to 20 minutes, but in extreme cases, it could last for hours(Schug, & Fradella, 2015). for this reason, the symptoms often vary from one person to the other. The symptoms could also occur for no apparent reason, and the attacks are unpredictable.
