"Doctors' Experience in Urban Areas" is a great example of a paper on the health system.
Health care is everybody’s concern. With the rapidly changing health industry, it is essential to recognize the various problems that emerge in distinct parts of the country. Urban and non-urban areas face different challenges medically due to their location and the population differences. Geographical location plays a significant role in affecting the diagnosis of patients that live there (Abrams,  & Robinson, 2011). one of the reasons contributing to this is the difference in the surrounding, which determines good accessibility to health care. Due to such varying differences between the two environments, doctors in non-urban areas are more accurate in diagnosis compared to doctors in urban areas.

Existing problem

The evidence-based problem is that doctors in non-urban areas are more accurate in diagnosis than in urban areas. In non-urban medical care, research shows that doctors are better at diagnosis because they have a better-personalized approach to patient health care. Due to close knits and small populations in rural areas, physicians know their patients very well (Abrams, & Robinson, 2011). Such personalized care ensures that the patient’s trust is cemented hence increased chances for a successful diagnosis. In urban areas, however, the population is so large that the doctor cannot remember the patient that they just saw minutes prior.

Additionally, doctors in rural areas offer better diagnoses because they are more motivated than doctors in rural areas. Even though urban doctors receive higher salaries, the total cost of living in urban areas gives them a less comfortable lifestyle compared to those in rural areas (Reschovsky, & Staiti 2005). Everything in urban areas such as housing, transportation, and social amenities is way more expensive than in non-urban areas. By the end of it all, doctors in urban areas will be struggling with the lifestyle hence end up being more frustrated than doctors in rural areas.

Seemingly, doctors in urban areas rarely have time for anything due to their tight schedules. Unlike physicians from non-urban regions that have the opportunity to pursue further learning and research, their counterparts in urban areas can barely get that time (Eley, Young, & Przybeck, 2009).) Health care personnel in urban areas barely have time to read journals or articles to update them on the rapidly growing medical field. Therefore when faced with a compelling medical situation, it is challenging to make an accurate diagnosis.

Proposed solution

The various solutions propose solutions to answer why doctors in rural areas make a better diagnosis than doctors in urban areas. First, there is an introduction to various treatment options. Considering urban doctors live and work in a metropolitan area that is easily accessible to different treatment options, the government is pushing them to learn more about these different treatment options. In this case, when diagnosing a patient, they can advise the patient on various options that they could try.

Similarly, additional time should be allocated time to primary physicians to pursue further studies. The specialist is usually the saving grace in health-related issues. Time allocated to urban doctors will enable them to specialize in different fields of medicine (Chan et al., 2005). Considering the plethora of medical problems that urban physicians face every day, the specialization will be a much-needed call to solving their vague diagnosis. The specialization will enable urban doctors to deal with complicated health issues hence improve their diagnosis.

Generally, a more significant population requires a bigger number of health care personnel. More doctors should be employed in urban settings to ensure that the ratio of doctors to patients is one doctor is to two hundred patients (Kay et al., 2008). Such an equal number will give physicians more enhanced stability when serving patients. Additionally, a more personalized approach when treating patients will be enhanced hence promoting better diagnosis of patients. Practicing physicians will be comfortable in their work accordingly to deliver the best results.

Conclusion

The medical field varies from one part of the country to another. It is, however, vital to ensure that changes and improvements are unavoidable. A lot of effort should be geared towards ensuring that correct the most accurate diagnosis is made at all times, regardless of whether it is an urban or a rural setup. The level of patient care an individual receives should not be determined by their geographical whereabouts today. After acknowledging the issues faced by physicians in urban set up while diagnosing patients, such proposed solutions should be implemented for the good of everyone receiving treatment.
