The paper examines relationships among variables associated with factors that influence technology acceptance. For this study, data would be collected from 500 primary mathematics teachers using a survey questionnaire and focus interviews. examines relationships among variables associated with factors that influence technology acceptance. For this study, data would be collected from 500 primary mathematics teachers using a survey questionnaire and focus interviews.

The major issues that the paper would attempt to answer are:

  • The impact of direct factors, such as attitude toward using, computer self-efficacy, perceived barriers, and perceived usefulness, in predicting and explaining the intention to accept ICT among mathematics teachers.
  • The impact of indirect factors, such as computer self-efficacy, perceived barriers, perceived ease of use, and perceived usefulness, in predicting and explaining the intention to accept ICT among mathematics teachers.

The study will help in finding out the factors that affect the acceptance of ICT. Also, this study will study teachers’ perceptions. It is important for the ministry of education to know these perceptions in order to make an action plan. Furthermore, this study will not only focus specifically on the Internet, but it would also focus on the use of ICT by teachers and the factors that affect this use.

Chapter 2: Literature Review
2.1: Information and communication technologies use
Information and communication technology (ICT) is considered to be part of the media or delivery method to impart knowledge. It is a method through which an end can be achieved and not an end in itself. ICT needs to be pedagogically strong. Technology especially used in education should focus on improving the pedagogy by going beyond retrieving information and start problem-solving. Technology should create new learning experiences that might not have been possible with the use of technology.
