Introduction North West Regional Hospital is a non profit private hospital which operates in northern Australia. The hospital presently has 180 bed inpatient facilities and has increased their business to 15 outreach places in Australia. The hospital employs 700 employees and is looking forward to increase their business through expansion strategy which will be aimed at adding 25 new outreach sites. To be able to deliver quality services to its patients the hospital employees the best doctors, nurses and support staff so that better facilities can be developed and the patients can be taken care of. This paper looks to evaluate looks at evaluating the job description, job advertisement and selection criteria so that hiring and selection of the required human resource is clearly identified. This will help to bring a change in the manner North West Regional Hospital works and will set the required fundamentals through which better care facilities can be provided. Job Description The role of nurses, doctors and in patient facility administrator has increased immensely for North West Regional Hospital which looks to provide medical care facilities. Each of the personnel has a role in accomplishing the mission of the organization and carried out the different vital and important roles through which better patient care facilities are provided. The job description thereby serves as an important juncture in identifying the different needs and requirements of personnel so that employees can be selected based on it. The job description stating the different skills which will be required in doctors, nurses and in-patient facility administrator is being provided below and is as Job Title: Doctor Job Requirements: To recruit doctors having the required skills and knowledge so that proper identification of disease becomes possible as this will help to provide correct medication. Doctors need to have proper knowledge in various directions and should be capable of delivering at the highest standards Job Duties: Providing correct diagnosis based on patients past records, reports so that correct remedial treatment is provided to the patients Collecting all information pertaining to patients so that before providing any medical help the different reports are properly evaluated Provide complete information regarding the treatment, cost and other aspect which the patients will have to undergo while looking to take treatment Continuously monitoring the patient health so that if required changes can be made to provide correct medical treatment Working hours are not defined and will depend on the need of the job or the patients requirements thereby ensuring flexibility in working hours Using services of different experts and people who have better knowledge and can provide better medication to the patients Guiding patients, nurses and other person in charge so that they can carry out the duties as directed by the doctor Provide important advice pertaining to diet, activity, hygiene and other activities which will help to reduce the chances of disease and act as a preventive measure Provide proper immunization so that patients can be prevented from such disease in the future Ensure proper coordination between the activities which are carried by nurses, assistants, specialist and other person so that better medical facilities can be provide Ensure no differences between patients based on caste, creed or colour so that the patient is able to get the correct treatment Ensure continuous learning and development so that the doctor continuously evolves and is able to provide better medical treatment Key Selection Criteria: Physical Requirements: Person should be healthy and fit so that the different job requirements are met Educational Qualifications: Phd. degree in fields like cosmetic surgery, neurology and cardiac Experience: Having three years of work experience in a government hospital in Australia Working Environment: A private office where outdoor patients will visit the doctor. Visiting the different chambers and rooms where patients are undergoing treatment.
