(Wang, 2000, p69) Electrical hazards can be prevented, through following safety steps such as choosing the right equipment for the job, maintaining all electrical installations and upgrading the damaged cables. Misappropriate use of electrical appliances can cause fire too. c. Fire Constructions places that have poor fire safety measures are highly affected by fire. Alongside the buildings, workers and materials can be affected, thus safety precautions has to be taken to avoid property loss and lives. Recommendations for fire hazards, we all learn the effects of fire and its prevention can be through installation of fire alarms and detectors. Through testing the capability of fire safety, also ensuring they still work and back-up power supply in power absence. Lack of knowledge can injury not only employees in little spaces but also the rescue teams. Materials such as solids filling the confined areas, and occurrence of fume, vapor and liquids, fire and explosions, remains left behind can release gas, vapor and dust thus resulting into harmful and dangerous working conditions. The problem of confined areas can be reduced through avoiding entrance into the places. Safety measures can be used such as preparing for the emergency arrangements prior commencing the works and following instructions, and include proper training. e. Physical hazards Most common hazards are physical hazards, and their presence is too high in working places. Vibrations, unguarded machinery, and working from highly elevated areas, scaffolding. Taking responsibilities of safety will maintain the working environment safe. The hazards can be prevented through workers ensuring the safety, and also, educating the workers on safe ways of operation, taking care of working tools and work around. f. Ergonomical hazards Ergonomical hazards may be as result of working conditions that strains the body hence results to be Ergonomical hazards. It is hard to identify since it is effects takes time to affect the victim. It reduces the wear and tear on victim’s body that makes task difficult to undertake or sometimes it results to pain. It is recommendable to improve the effectiveness, raise job satisfactions, and decrease the level of fatigue, illness and short term illness. g. Chemical hazards Chemical hazards are as result conduct during chemical preparations that’s can be inform of gases, solids and liquids. Cleansing products such as solvents, vapors and carbon monoxide, gasoline and flammable objects are subjects of damages of health. Proper disposing of chemicals objects, can reduce hazards in the work places. Proper ventilations, reducing exposure to chemicals and washing hands can reduce the rate of risk. Biological hazards Biological hazards sources includes: insect bites, bacteria, viruses and animal and bird droppings. The biological hazards can cause disease and illness in humans. (Wang, 2000, p69) Preventive measures such as wearing protective equipment’s, gloves and masks. Safety kits must be available in working places in order to prevent infections occurrence. (Wang, 2000, p69) j. Asbestos Asbestos it is highly harmful since it can result into difficulty in breathing and to some extent mesothelioma. It is always difficult to remove fibers since they have reached inside the lungs. Asbestos preventive measures can be through reducing disturbance of asbestos on premises. (Wang, 2000, p69) k. Noise Noise in working areas may be as result of explosive of construction tools and objects. Noise it can lead to total ear drum damage thus impairing hearing. It can be prevented through fitting the engines and explosive machines with silencers.
