Therefore, the supplier manager of the company needs good suppliers, who can supply the required parts to it. The supplier manager also needs to manage good relationship with the suppliers for the availability of parts required for making electric Land Rover (JLR, 2014). Contextually, the paper intends to explain about the appropriate decision making frameworks for selecting the suppliers. The current paper also deals with the explanation to the final selection of suppliers. The paper also intends to explain about the organisational relationship management with its suppliers. This paper also deals with legally and ethically complaint information related to the organization along with examples. Developing Appropriate Supply Chain The development of the appropriate supply chain could be managed through the elegant management of suppliers and selection of the most appropriate is of extreme need from the perspective of the JLR Group. For the specific study in order to develop a chain of new product line, the JLR Group needs to prepare a proper selection process that would suffice the need for designing the electric Land Rover for the company. The following sections elaborate on the detailed procedures undertaken for developing the overall attributes associated with the development of a sustainable supply chain process. Appropriate Decision Making Frameworks for Selecting the Suppliers There are several decision-making frameworks, which can be used during the decision-making process related to the appropriate selection of the suppliers. There are also certain elements, which the supplier manager should consider during the time of selection of suppliers. Suppliers are important from the perspective of an organization because they provide the essential raw materials and parts to produce the products. In this regard, it can be evaluated that the supplier manager of JLR has to focus on the quality of raw material and its price in comparison to other suppliers (Murali & et. al., 2014). Figure 1: SMART Objectives Based on the SMART, supplier manager of JLR should focus on the quality evaluation method and work process during the process of selecting the suppliers. With the help of quality evaluation method, the manager can select the good quality suppliers for the purpose of long-term business. Supplier managers should also focus on the multi criteria method of the supplier such as quality of material, delivery process, technical capability and financial stability among other, which are the major concerning elements for selecting the suppliers ((Best Practices, 2015). Supplier manager should also focus on the market reputation of suppliers, which is also regarded as a major concern during the selection of suppliers. In this regard, it can be evaluated that from the above mention decision-making frameworks, work process framework can be the most appropriate for the JLR organization. By observing the multi criteria method of supplier managers, the organisation can assess the ability and power of supplier manager to perform the supply chain process along with the loyalty of the suppliers (Murali & et. al., 2014). Evaluate New Suppliers Once the organisation selects a supplier, the prime need of the organisation is to evaluate the same, as it is necessary for the organisation to understand whether the supplier will be able to match steps with the company towards fulfilling the long-term objectives. The new suppliers needs to be tested and specified for developing the diverse approaches and enhance the effectiveness of the supply chain. Correspondingly, the credibility of the suppliers must also be considered for developing the overall effectiveness of the system the management of supply chain could be effective only if the successful evaluation of the suppliers is made evident (Nepal & et. al., 2010). The supplier manager will have to deal with the needs of the strategies to manage the complex business needs. The supplier manager must be providing ample computations for maintaining transparent system and ensure that the suppliers being selected will be able to manage the company needs in an efficient manner. Thus, for developing a credible edge, it is important for the organisation to customise the Supply Chain Management (SCM) (Nepal & et. al., 2010). The following table could be developed in order to enhance the effectiveness of the system and develop the overall prominences that are associated with the needs of specifications of supply chain. The following table helps in developing the overall attributes that are associated with the development of the patterns of selecting suppliers. Suppliers Suppliers 1 A Suppliers 2 B Suppliers 3 C Suppliers 4 D Suppliers 5 E Suppliers 6 F Suppliers 7 G For the paper seven suppliers were selected and were allotted with the grading A-E for the ease of the development and providing weightage. Office Attribute Weight A B C D E F G Quality 32 100 20 80 70 40 0 50 Ease of Delivery 26 60 80 70 50 60 0 100 Timely Deliverance 23 100 10 10 30 90 70 50 Product Price 10 75 30 0 55 100 0 50 Carriage 6 0 100 10 30 60 80 50 After Sales Services 3 90 30 100 90 70 0 80 Benefits 80.8 39.4 47.4 52.3 64.8 20.9 60.2 Figure 2: Weightage The above stated graphical representation stated helps in developing the benefits that could be attained from the different scores addressed for the specific paper. The weightage provided enhances the effectiveness of the provided sample and helps in developing the efficiency and proper weightage that could be attained. Based on the specific study it could be obtained that the weights received for A is quite higher than the other suppliers hence A could be a prospective supplier for the company for developing the overall market. The suppliers of JLR in order to develop an electric Land Rover have been accommodating dynamic changes within the supply chain process of the company to develop its prominence that would be able to ensure quality as well as quantity. Thus, in order to increase the effectiveness of the system of production the JLR Company must be developing SMART objectives by including the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) for developing a structured as well as enhanced level of decision-making. By integrating these software-assisted tools, the organisation will be able to ensure the effectiveness of the decision-making in terms of selecting the suppliers. In order to enhance the accuracy of decision making in order to evaluate the diverse needs of the suppliers the organisation in concern has adopted different components for developing a transparent plan for decision-making. For instance the managers have adopted the components such as “Reliability”, “After-Sales Support”, “Speed of Delivery” as well as “Customization” for evaluating the effectiveness of the organisational decision making (JLR, 2014). The following table reflects on the AHP valuations received from the suppliers. Reliability After-Sales Service Speed of Delivery Customization Reliability 1 4 5 4 After-Sales Service ¼ 1 3 ½ Speed of Delivery 1/5 1/3 1 1/3 Customization ¼ 2 3 1 The following graphical representations help in developing a clear picture about the issues that are associated with the needs of developing a relationship among the suppliers. The linear graphs have been prepared based on the data collected and the weightage gained from the review of the data stated in figure 2 above. The graphical representation is even identified to be reflecting on the fact that the data collected are noted to be developing a better notion for meeting with the needs of the system. This could be noted to be developing a proper attribute and enhance the transparency of selecting suppliers. Managing Relationship After the evaluation of the data, it is apparent that managing the complex chain of communication and information sharing is the sole requisite that supports the management for developing a sustainable supply chain process. Thus, this is the sole need of the suppliers to manage the diverse edge within the system and maintain a complex domain for ensuring the effectiveness of the supply chain process. This can be attained through the elegant management of the diverse and complex needs of information sharing amid the components of the supply chain. For developing the existing system of JLR the supplier manager in-charge of the effective management of supply chain must be providing detailed information about the factory layout and the other requisite that are associated with production. This would even help the suppliers to understand the business process and enable them to supply the goods as per the needs and specifications of the market (BIFM, 2015). This has even be noted that by managing the diverse needs of the system the supplier must be collecting and providing information relating to the factory outlet and needs of specifications of the layout. In order to do so they must be putting up the diverse needs of the layout design and accessibility (BIFM, 2015). The following data could be analysed for the specifications. Office Floor Area Distance from Customer X 0 100 Y 100 0 Weights 5 1 Legal and Ethical Complaint With the effective management of the SCM, there is also a need for managing the legal and ethical needs that are associated with the system. However, while managing the diverse social relationship and managing the effective SCM there is a significant need for developing the legal and ethical concerns for developing the overall system of software. With this regard, it could be argued that it is the duty of the supplier managers to maintain a transparent system and enhance the effectiveness of the system (Derry, 2014). The management of the diverse relationship has been identified to create a diverse edge within the strategic management of the supply chain and enhance the effectiveness of the system. In the objective of managing complex relationship and enhancing the credibility of the system, it is evident that the organisation, which is entering into SCM, must be developing a sustainable legal system that enhances the overall effectiveness of the system for meeting the needs of the society. Correspondingly, for managing the social system, maintaining transparency within the ethical and legal concerns has been a decisive need, which is associated with the system and increases the effectiveness of the SCM. Increasing the integrated SMART objectives for developing a transparent system will be creating a diverse edge and enhance the management of both legal as well as ethical concerns that are associated with the needs for managing a sustainable SCM (Derry, 2014). Decision Taken Supplier selection has been a complex task for developing the overall attribute that is associated with the smooth flow of the system. This has been noted to be developing the overall attributes that is associated with the needs of the management and enhance the effectiveness of the system. This is largely apparent form the graphical representation that “Suppliers 1” allotted with “A” has been having a higher score on the selected attributes and is likely to affect the needs of planning. As the SMART objectives attained the company “A” has been meeting with the needs of the ease of deliverance and enhancing the quality of the products that are being supplied. This is even likely to increase the overall effectiveness of the system and enhance further efficiency of the supply chain process. Conclusion JLR plans to develop a new set of Land Rover for developing the overall market within the car industry. This could be identified to be enhancing the overall effectiveness of the system and increase the credibility that is associated with the needs of managing the complexities that are associated with the successful development of SCM. This has been noted in order to execute a plan for developing a proper market the company in order to develop the effectiveness of the system and evaluate the SCM components for developing a transparent system of SCM. Thus, the company integrates different strategically as well measurable framework for assessing the effectiveness of the system of SCM that the organisation planned to integrate. This is likely to increase the transparency of the organisational system and increase the efficiency in integrating the new and developed process of SRM. Conversely, for developing effective supply chain, the company even plans to integrate SMART objectives for enhancing the transparency and reducing complexes associated with the decision making process.
