Extract of sample "Nike by Mark Parker"

There are several principles upon which Nike hopes to build its foundation (Balch, 2012). These principles include developing a portfolio of sustainable materials, scaling and prototyping sustainable manufacturing and sourcing models, developing digital services revenue, and driving market transformation (Balch, 2012). It is important to note that the latest reports by Nike put more emphasis on environmental sustainability. This is in line with the company’s vision of attaining zero waste in its supply chain and making materials and products that can be constantly reused. In Nike, human rights and labor continue to be its top priority and a worry to its corporate culture. Dealing with these issues and other issues such as maintaining quality is not an easy task, and thus, Nike has found one potential solution. The solution is to collaborate with other brands on factory audits and work with its competitors in developing solutions for labor issues and standardized costs (Connor, 2010).
