IT Infrastructure: Change IT Infrastructure: Change According to Anderson & Ackerman-Anderson , when monitoring change, standard structure and practices for scheming, implementing and monitoring organization change are necessary. This is important to make work understandable, reliable and controllable based on the urgency or duration attached to the change process. How much urgency for change is enough?Every tactical function in an organization, for example information technology, marketing, and finance has infrastructure allocated to the process.

These functions have standard practices, methods, templates and ways of ensuring that performance levels and outcomes are maintained at a high level. Any alteration or inability to offer the intended results means that change is urgent. The manager of each functional area is trained to make decisions, and is held accountable for their actions (Anderson & Ackerman-Anderson, 2010). So often, the infrastructure and practices are advanced and developed to ensure best practices and improved results meaning that opposite results necessitate change to a level that will return to the needed results.

The purpose of developing an infrastructural- change strategy is to support an organization and deliver results from change through establishing and using explicit, generally used structures and practices that optimize change execution, optimize results and speed up result achievement duration. Once established, it also provides a baseline for people to amplify their leadership efficiency and provide a base for developing an organisation’s change capability (Blokdijk, 2008). The above concepts indicate that change is indeed enough and necessary.

ConclusionThe level of change that is enough ensures that the standards of organisation’s practices are appropriate and compatible with the management processes of an organization. It establishes a platform for sustainable competition (Blokdijk, 2008). The urgency for change would remain high until an organization establishes a strong capacity to manage change.ReferencesAnderson, D., & Ackerman-Anderson, L. S. (2010).
