In addition, their other reason on the importance of family is based on the moral and ideal values on the society. History shows that marriage and family were the natural social structures recognized by the ancient social and religious principles. Natural families were encouraged by social norms for purposes of optimal child development. Disruption of family structures presents negative effect to children in terms of emotional and behavioral developments. Based on these principles, typical family structures are encouraged by some members of the society (Rauchut 569).

On the other hand, a single parent in the family is occupied with both the social and economic needs of the family.

As a result, the single parent will not attend to both the economic and social needs; hence the children in such a family will not develop in a whole rounded manner (Kamp 341). Still in the importance of marriage and family in the society, these vital institutions would serve to address most of the social problems witnessed in modern social settings. In the recent past, there has been a surge in the aspect of deviance in moral values. The modern society has evolved into embracing the concept and philosophy of moral relativism.

As a result, there has been a breakdown in social principles within every society. The establishment of important social units like family and marriage has been neglected. This has presented numerous social disorders like
