Extract of sample "Making the Food and Farming Industry"

The most advisable way to produce quality food is to grow our crops and animals in an organic manner in our farms. Meaning, we will grow our crops and animals without using GMOs, chemicals, and antibiotics in this country (www.gov.uk nd). It may be more expensive to do this but the government can help by providing financial assistance to our farmers. The public can help by willing to buy this quality organic food at a slightly higher price so that it would be economically viable for farmers to grow quality organic crops and animals.

The second option is to import quality foods in countries from our neighboring countries. We have to set our expectation that we cannot import from far-flung countries because quality foods that are organic have a shorter shelf life. Fruits can be imported as they have a longer shelf life compared to vegetables. Encouraging our farmers to grow organic foods and animals and importing fruits from other countries ensures that we have enough quality food in the UK.
