HEALTH CARE ADVERTISINGDiscussion 2A: Case Study Forum: Health Care AdvertisingHealthcare advertising offers a clear means of categorizing as well as developing priorities in health care provision by health service providers. According to the mission statement of Robert Johnson University hospital, the hospital focuses on the delivery of safe, quality and cost-effective healthcare service which is one of the basic requirements and expectation of a health care institution. However, by lowering the cost of service provision may compromise on the quality of the services being provided owing to the high cost of health equipment and tools.

Accessibility to health services ensures rapid responses and emergencies are well taken care of within the right time so as to save the life of the patients. Respect and dignity is the requirement of each patient hence by the hospital capturing that I their mission statement is a way of winning over many people who value their dignity and self-respect.Discussion 2B: Personal Experience ReflectionMy last visit to Johnson University Hospital was a sure prove that the nurses and the doctors at the hospital do not adhere to their mission treatment.

I had gone for a medical check-up after developing a sharp pain on my back. The nurses did not address me well hence no respect was forthcoming and I felt like my privacy was undermined due to the nature of the questions that I was being asked. I eventually had to leave to seek help in another hospital as I could not wait any longer due to the fact that the process was very slow. This did not reflect the virtues perspective of advertisement as virtues such as honesty, truthfulness, compassion and loyalty were large compromised.

The hospital staffs’ have failed to live to the expectation of the society in which it is situated. Ethical standards need to be adhered to despite the challenges that a health facility is going through.
