MINNESOTA BIOLABS Question 1It is a common thing for one to go to hospital with one disease only to come back with another disease which is worse than the disease that took them to hospital. This is as a result of an infectious disease that is caused by injection materials such as needles. The infection is known as the sepsis infection and is caused by a bacterium known as endoxin. To ensure that this infection does not affect people, injection materials need to be treated so that they are safe for use.

Mb started the test using live rabbits that were used for experiments. The strategies of Mb were changed due to the rising number of cases of animal rights organizations. Various groups were coming up to defend animals from live tests that were being performed in them. It therefore made MB to look for alternative strategies for testing their products. MB therefore had to switch from the use of live rabbits to SDT (Caffrey, 2005).Question 2The steps that the country level managers had to take for them to have a well and smooth organization redesign was to introduce SDT use bit by bit not once.

This would ensure that the entire workforce and clients get to know the benefits of SDT and learn to appreciate it since a total complete shift once would cause a lot of confusion among the clients and workforce. The redesign should look like a change that would provide a better working environment for the clients and workforce and also ensure that the final product is good. As the redesign is taking place, the country managers should monitor the manner in which various stakeholders are accepting this new design.

In case there is resistance, the country manager should educate them on the advantages of the change and assure them that the new change is better than the earlier design (Huber, 2003). Question 3If the country level managers in Europe and Japan get to adopt this new procedure, then there would be an increase in profit margins that the company makes. This is because; SDT use is cheaper than the use of live rabbits. At the same time, the use of rabbits means that a lot of money is used to pay lawyers who have to defend the use of the live rabbits in court.

Using SDT would therefore cut costs and ensure that the money is added to the profit. The new procedure would also save a lot of rabbits and this would also be a great thing to the company. The other benefit that would come with the introduction of SDT into use is societal acceptance. Using live rabbits in many cases cause a lot of people in the society to be offended and even though they might not go to court, they might have a lot of problems accepting the end product. Shifting would therefore raise their confidence for the product (Carling, 2008).
